On Monday night, January 20, 2014 BroadwayWorld.com kicked off its 10th Anniversary Celebration with the first in a series of concerts to be presented in the upcoming year. It was an historic night for so many reasons and although yesterday was spent in BroadwayWorld 'after-glow and recovery' we rushed out the behind the scenes photos, taken by two photographers who were with us since the beginning - Linda Lenzi and Walter McBride. BUYER & CELLAR's Jonathan Tolins Set for Metropolitan Opera Quiz Panel on 1/11

Jonathan Tolins, the author of Buyer & Cellar, will be a panelist on the Metropolitan Opera Quiz during the first intermission of this week's broadcast of Die Fledermaus. The new production of Strauss's operetta is performed in English with new dialogue by Broadway playwright Douglas Carter Beane, and features Tony Award winner Danny Burstein in the comic role of Frosch the jailer. This will be Tolins's second appearance on the Quiz after making his debut a year ago. Buyer & Cellar continues its record-breaking run at the Barrow Street Theatre off-Broadway and is currently selling tickets through April 13. The show will be produced later this year in Chicago, Los Angeles, and other cities to be announced.

The producers of the hit comedy Buyer & Cellar have announced that tickets are now on sale through April 13, 2014. The hit comedy, which recouped its initial investment in record time, is currently playing an open-ended run at the Barrow Street Theatre where the play continues to break box office records.

On October 10, at the Dramatists Guild Fund annual gala at the Edison Ballroom in New York, Cleveland's Roe Green, Founder and President was honored for her patronage of the arts. The event was hosted by television and Broadway actor Michael Urie, and featured such legendary theatre elite as Stephen Schwartz, Ben Vereen, Bernadette Peters and Stephen Sondheim.

Stable Cable Lab Co. has announced the cast and creative team for the workshop production of Nibbler, a play by Ken Urban, directed by Stephen Brackett. Nibblerwill begin invited presentations on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios (244 W. 54th St - between Broadway & 8th Ave.) and is scheduled to run through November 23rd, 2013. The results of the workshop production - including the actors' experience with the work, the aesthetics of the director and designers, and the audience's feedback - will be invaluable to the development of this play and talkbacks will follow several performances to discuss the work.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Roundabout Theatre Company today hosts a private reading for a potential new production of Stephen Sondheim's Company, which might include some gender reversals in the casting of SOME of the show's iconic characters. Also, contrary to published reports, Nathan Lane is not currently attached to the workshop. We have confirmed that featured amongst the cast are Bobby Steggert, Michael Urie, and Alan Cumming. The New York Times is now reporting that Tony-winning director John Tiffany is directing and 2008 Tony nominee Daniel Evans is playing 'Bobby', who will be gay in this version of the show.
