In celebration of the 200th Anniversary of Jane Austen's masterpiece, Southern Rep is partnering with the Jane Austen Society of Louisiana to present a limited, two week engagement of PRIDE & PREJUDICE adapted by Jon Jory, November 13 - 24, at the beautiful Ursuline Academy theatre.

Cue the traveling music and pack up the suitcases, Prince Pericles is going on an adventure. But as Shakespeare's protagonist will soon find out, this grand tour is not destined to be full of thrilling adventures. In the search for a bride he discovers unspeakable horror, flees for his life, and is subject to two disastrous storms at sea. Then, his wife dies in childbirth, he leaves his daughter to be raised by a woman who grows to hate her, and is told on his return that she too has died.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company led by Producing Artistic Directors Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, begins its 22nd season and the third season in its new Pasadena home with William Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre, opening tonight, September 14 and closing Sunday, November 24, 2013, with previews starting September 7. Pericles is performed in repertory withThe Guardsman by Ferenc Molnar, October 5 through November 30, and Endgame by Samuel Beckett, October 26 to November 23.

Production is underway on the third season of HBO/CINEMAX's breakout drama series STRIKE BACK, it was announced today by Kary Antholis, president of HBO Miniseries and CINEMAX Programming.

Movieie reports that Michael Keaton ('RoboCop'), Emma Stone ('The Amazing Spider-Man'), Naomi Watts ('The Impossible') and Zach Galifianakis ('The Hangover') have all signed on to star in the upcoming dark-comedy BIRDMAN.

This month, MainStreet produces the West Coast premiere of an imaginative re-telling of a much-loved tale. Aladdin's Luck by Janet Stanford, uses audience participation and imaginative staging to tell the familiar story with only three actors. HBO series TRUE BLOOD and GAME OF THRONES are confirmed for panels and autograph sessions, and Cinemax series Strike Back will have a panel and a screening at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2012.

Indhu Rubasingham has announced her inaugural season at The Tricycle, which will launch with the World Premiere of Red Velvet, written by Lolita Chakrabarti with Adrian Lester in the role of Ira Aldridge; followed by The Tricycle's first festive family show, The Arabian Nights, written by Mary Zimmerman and adapted from The Book Of The Thousand Nights and One Night. In 2013, The Tricycle present an Eclipse Theatre production of One Monkey Don't Stop No Show, by Don Evans, followed by another World Premiere: Paper Dolls, written by Philip Himberg and adapted from the award-winning documentary by Tomer Heymann, produced by Stanley Buchthal.
