In celebration of the 200th Anniversary of Jane Austen's masterpiece, Southern Rep is partnering with the Jane Austen Society of Louisiana to present a limited, two week engagement of PRIDE & PREJUDICE adapted by Jon Jory, November 13 - 24, at the beautiful Ursuline Academy Theatre.

PRIDE & PREJUDICE is such a lovely story, and a perennial personal favorite. We are so excited for the chance to use the stage at Ursuline Academy to present an elegant version of the classic tale. With a full slate of events around each production, theatregoers will be immersed in enough charm, wit, and refined romance to warm even the chilliest November night! - Aimée Hayes, Producing Artistic Director

Presented in partnership with the Jane Austen Society of Louisiana, PRIDE & PREJUDICE is co-directed by Jeffrey Gunshol and Aimée Hayes, and stars Ashley Ricord Santos as the smart and radically self-assured Elizabeth Bennet, and Michael Stone as Mr. Darcy, her handsome suitor with a past that is more than meets the eye. The production will present a fresh spin on the classic tale, skewering gossip, intrigue and society snobbery through wit, dance, and music. PRIDE & PREJUDICE is a playful romp about romance, morality, and the realization that sometimes, the one thing in the way of one's happiness is oneself.

Tickets: $20 - $40 (discounts available for students, seniors, military personnel, and teachers)
