Additional casting for Discovery Channel's first-ever, scripted mini-series KLONDIKE (wt) has been announced. Ian Hart, Augustus Prew and Johnny Simmons join the cast of KLONDIKE, joining previously announced cast members Chris Cooper and Abbie Cornish.

On the heels of filming 'August, Osage County,' Academy Award Winner Chris Cooper will star in Discovery Channel's first-ever, scripted mini-series titled KLONDIKE (wt), playing the role of Father Judge. Cooper won both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for the film 'Adaptation.' Additionally, Cooper's storied career includes roles in films such as 'American Beauty,' 'The Bourne Identity,' 'The Patriot,' 'Breach' and 'Syriana'.

AMC announced today the renewal of HELL ON WHEELS for a third season with John Wirth ("V" "Fallen Skies" "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") serving as executive producer and showrunner. Leading independent studio, Entertainment One (eOne) announced today it acquired the rights to develop a television series based on the popular Japanese manga, BLACK JACK, from the legendary creator, Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion). The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced this morning the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy(R) Award nominations, recognizing AMC with 34 nominations, the most for any basic cable network for the fifth year in a row, breaking the previous 29 nomination record for the network from 2011.
