Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel Will Be Honored By Ensemble Studio Theatre, 5/20

The Ensemble Studio Theatre will honor two of Broadway's most distinguished producers, Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel, at its 45th Anniversary Gala, Monday evening, May 20, at 6:30pm at SIR Stage 37, 508 West 37th Street. Tickets are $500 and $1,000.

Theater Masters Sets 7th Annual 'Take 10' for 4/2-6

Aspen's acclaimed Theater Masters will present its seventh annual "Take 10," an evening of six 10-minute plays from award-winning MFA graduate playwriting students across the country as part of its National MFA Playwrights competition on April 2nd - 6th at Off-Broadway's The Studio Theatre on Theatre Row (410 W 42nd Street).

Piotr Beczala Sings First Met Performances in Title Role of Gounod's FAUST Tonight

Piotr Beczala will sing the title role in Gounod's Faust for the first time at the Met beginning tonight, March 21, opposite Marina Poplavskaya as Marguerite, a role she sang in the 2011 premiere of Des McAnuff's production. Alain Altinoglu, who led Faust at the Met last season, returns to conduct the opera, which also stars John Relyea as the diabolical Mephistopheles, Alexey Markov as Valentin, and Julie Boulianne as Siebel.

The new Hurst Theatre is the setting for Theatre Aspen's new production of Alain Boubil and Claude-Michel Schonberg's Les Miserables, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, with music by Schonberg and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. The multiple Tony Award-winner opens June 21st and runs the entire summer, through August 17th.

Theatre Aspen Tickets Go On Sale 4/1

Theatre Aspen today announced that single tickets and passes for the summer season go on sale April 1st (no fooling). Deals on sale now include season passes for both two or three shows, discounted preview passes and the popular Local's Pass (additional $20 off), for valley residents. Full season passes with early seating preference went on sale January 1st, with exclusive access to booking seats, available through April 1st.
