Aaron Louis, in association with New Georges and The Essentials, have announced a three week extension of their world premiere production of Marielle Heller's 'THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL,' adapted from the hit graphic novel of the same name by Phoebe Gloeckner, and directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde and Rachel Eckerling, in a multi-media production.

3LD Art & Technology Center Presents THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL Starting 3/15

Aaron Louis (Producing Director, 3LD Art & Technology Center) in association with New Georges and The Essentials, will present the world premiere of THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL, written by Marielle Heller, adapted from the hit graphic novel of the same name by Phoebe Gloeckner, and directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde and Rachel Eckerling in a multi-media production. Performances will begin on Sunday, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector Street). The official opening night will be Sunday, March 28 at 8:00 p.m. (Performances will run through Monday, April 12.)

Soho Playhouse Closes MADE IN HEAVEN 12/6, Ushers in EMPEROR JONES, 12/15

The New York Times has confirmed that The Soho Playhouse will close MADE IN HEAVEN on Monday, December 7 to make way for the transfer of EMPEROR JONES by Eugene O'Neil. EMPEROR JONES will begin performances on December 15th.

Following its sold-out run, The Irish Repertory Theatre Co. Inc. and Darren Lee Cole Theatricals are set to present The Irish Repertory Theatre's production of Eugene O'Neill's THE EMPEROR JONES - starring John Douglas Thompson as the charismatic Brutus Jones -- Off-Broadway for a strictly limited 7-week engagement, with previews set to begin Tuesday, December 15 prior to an official press opening December 22, at SoHo Playhouse. Ciaran O'Reilly directs.

The collaboration started with ZOMBIE, an award winning solo play by Bill Connington, adapted from Oates' novella that played for a successful extended run on Theatre Row earlier this year. Two independent evenings of Oates' short plays will take place Tuesday, Oct 13 and Tuesday, October 20 at 6:30 pm at the New York Society Library, 53 East 79th Street (just east of Madison Avenue, 6 train to 77th Street). Audience discussions will take place after performances.

Krapp, 39 is extending once again, recent Drama Desk nominee, Michael Laurence's Krapp, 39, inspired by Samuel Beckett's Krapp's Last Tape, and directed by George Demas, will be extended again now through August 2, 2009 at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). A highlight of the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, Krapp, 39 was invited to be part of the Fringe Encores Series; it was then offered a legit Off-Broadway run at the SoHo Playhouse presented by Darren Lee Cole. Krapp, 39's Off-Broadway run began performances on January 13th, and officially opened on January 20, 2009 and has been extended several times since.

The Cliplight Theater and Theatre at Saint Clement's will present Levittown, written by Marc Palmieri and directed by George Demas, beginning Wednesday, July 8 at 8pm at Theatre at Saint Clement's, 423 West 46th Street. The opening night is set for Monday, July 13 at 8pm. Levittown had a developmental workshop in the summer of 2006 at Axis Theatre Company, directed by Mr. Demas.

Producers Scott Morfee and Darren Lee Cole have announced the debut of the new Summer Solos Series, a celebration of the best in solo performance and shows by acclaimed playwrights and performers. The one-night-only performance series begins June 18, 2009, continuing through August 4, 2009 at Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). A special benefit performance of Spalding Gray: Stories Left To Tell is scheduled for July 16, 2009 with proceeds going to the Spalding Gray Scholarship Fund. All performances begin at 8:00 p.m. Immediately following each performance there will be a brief reception with the artist in the Huron Club, located inside the Soho Playhouse.
