The incredible talent and empowering storytelling of Broadway will soon be gracing Florida's shores with two star-studded performances of Jason Robert Brown's beloved 1995 musical SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. On Friday, January 23rd, an all-star cast of Broadway favorites will perform this incredible show at Cocoa Beach's DoubleTree by Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront as part of a benefit for the Cocoa Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Disney's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning new musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, will be the subject of an entire category on tonight's (January 15) episode of 'Jeopardy!,' marking only the third time the show has dedicated an entire category to a single Broadway show. For the first time in the history of 'Jeopardy!,' the show will incorporate performance footage from Aladdin in each of the category's clues.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Broadway stars Julia Murney, Ashley Brown, Michael James Scott, and Josh Young will bring a new production of Jason Robert Brown's beloved song cycle SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD to Cocoa Beach, Florida on Friday, January 23rd. In this stirring teaser, Brown, Broadway's first Mary Poppins, sings the opening verse from the beloved title song.

Broadway stars Julia Murney, Ashley Brown, Michael James Scott, and Josh Young will appear in a special one night only benefit production of SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD on January 23 as part of Broadway By The Beach. Directed by Daniel Goldstein and written by three-time Tony winning composer Jason Robert Brown, a portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce Arts Fund dedicated to benefit local arts organizations and education programs.

CSC's Midsummer), Jeff Hayenga (The Man Who Came to Dinner, The Elephant Man), Mark Junek ('Smash', Berkeley Rep's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) and Elizabeth Morton (Death of a Salesman) will lead an industry reading of Locust Song, a new play by Jerry Marsini on November 17th at 7 pm and on November 18th at 12:30pm at the WorkShop Theater Company's Main Stage, 312 W 36th Street. Drama Desk Nominee, Tony Speciale, who recently directed the Barry Manilow musical Harmony (2014 Suzi Bass Award winner Outstanding Director of a Musical & Outstanding Production of a Musical), will direct the Manhattan reading.
