by Tyler Peterson
- Oct 14, 2013
Bucket-loads of humor fill Odyssey Dance Theatre's 15-dance work called "Thriller," taking center stage Friday at 8 p.m. at the Spencer theater for the Performing Arts. Yes, there's heavy sloshings of horror too, but the bulk of this generously blended classical and jazz dance extravaganza is just pure fun! The clever, well-crafted dances effectively spoof famous horror flicks and our favorite archetypal creeps: the knife-slicing Lorena Bobbitt, blood-sucking vampires, tap dancing skeletons, crafty Salem Witches, a lovestruck Frankenstein, graveyard ghouls, terrible children of the corn, the Hunchback, vengeful Jason and more.
