Producers Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B. McGrath, Beth Williams), Howard Kagan and Barry Brown have just announced that the new Broadway musical TUCK EVERLASTING will have its pre-Broadway world premiere at Boston's Citi Performing Arts Center Colonial Theatre (106 Boylston Street) in June of 2013. With a book by Tony Award nominee Claudia Shear (Dirty Blonde), music by Chris Miller (The Burnt Part Boys), lyrics by Nathan Tysen (The Burnt Part Boys) and directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon), TUCK EVERLASTING is based on the novel by Natalie Babbitt. Broadway production details, design team and casting for TUCK EVERLASTING will be announced at a later date.

Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced in Williamstown today the roster of Main Stage and Nikos Stage productions for the 2012 Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF) Season, the Festival's 58th season and second under Ms. Gersten's leadership. The Main Stage Season will kick off with a production of Oscar Wilde's classic The Importance of Being Earnest as you've never seen it before, directed by Tony Award-winner David Hyde Pierce (an alum of the Festival's training programs, making his WTF directorial debut), playing from June 26 - July 14, 2012. A new translation of Ivan Turgenev's A Month in the Country, directed by Tony Award-winner Richard Nelson (James Joyce's The Dead) has also been added to the Main Stage line-up, from August 1 - August 19, 2012. On the Nikos Stage, WTF veteran Jessica Stone (A Funny Thing...Forum) directs Neil Simon's comedy Last of the Red Hot Lovers, playing from July 11 - July 22, 2012, and the World Premiere of Olivier Award-winner Katori Hall's (The Mountaintop) WHADDABLOODCLOT!!!, will run, in association with Signature Theatre, from August 8 - 19, 2012.

One of the top-tier performers of a promising new generation of young stars on Broadway, Matt Doyle has appeared in both dramatic musicals and plays in establishing a versatile stage and screen career ranging from a multi-episode arc on GOSSIP GIRL to starring in SPRING AWAKENING on Broadway, as well as the recent revival of BYE BYE BIRDIE, in addition to his most recent New York credit, the highly acclaimed WAR HORSE at Lincoln Center. Equally at home in musicals and straight drama, Doyle's most recently released film venture is an intriguing and compelling independent feature showcasing his WAR HORSE co-star and fellow InDepth InterView participant Seth Numrich with a stylish and intense military school-set adaptation of ROMEO & JULIET titled PRIVATE ROMEO that, fortunately for all of us, also allows Doyle the chance to sing. Having studied at the Royal Academy in London, Doyle was perfectly prepared for his Shakespearean role in PRIVATE ROMEO and that training was also was influential to his success in the aforementioned musicals and plays he has starred in, as he generously fills us in on many memorable moments in his career to date and even shares his most recent experiences doing Michael John LaChiusa's GIANT. Exciting projects coming up next include a sequel to his 2011 EP, DAYLIGHT, titled - appropriately enough - SUNSET, as well as roles in theatre pieces currently in development. According to a report on nypost.com, the musical GIANT, which played last month at the Dallas Theater Center, will be heading to the Public Theater in Fall and has potential to transfer to Broadway.

The Baltimore Playwrights Festival (www.baltplayfest.org) monthly public meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, at Fells Point Corner Theatre, 251 South Ann Street, Baltimore, MD 21042, 410-276-7837. After the meeting, at 8:30 p.m., there will be a staged reading of Holler by George P. Tilson, directed by Patricia Woolsey. The reading will be followed by a discussion of the script with the playwright, director and actors. The event is free, and the general public is encouraged to attend.

The Stages Repertory Theatre is proud to bring NEXT TO NORMAL and the Goodman household to Houston audiences this summer. The rock musical will play the theater's main stage from May 16 to June 24. Tickets start at $19 and are available at www.stagestheatre.com. Performances are scheduled for Wednesdays through Sundays.

According to the New York Times, Playwrights Horizons will present FAR FROM HEAVEN, a new musical with book by Tony Award winner and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain), music by Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens) and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens, The Grapes of Wrath), in Spring 2013. The show will also play Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer. The musical was adapted from the acclaimed, award-winning 2002 Focus Features/Vulcan Productions motion picture Far From Heaven, written and directed by Todd Haynes.
