DOMA Theatre Company partners with Requiem Media Productions, LLC to present the world premiere of a new musical based on Oscar Wilde's classic novel, 'The Picture of Dorian Gray.' Dorian's Descent, with book by Chris Raymond,Marco Gomez and Michael Gray, lyrics by Marco Gomez and Chris Raymond, and music by Chris Raymond, opens tonight, May 30 at the MET Theatre with Gomez directing, Raymond providing musical direction/orchestrations, and choreography by Tania Possick.

DOMA Theatre Company will present the world premiere of a new musical based on Oscar Wilde's novel The Picture of Dorian Gray during this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival. DORIAN'S DESCENT opens May 30, prior to the beginning of the Fringe, and will continue through July 20 for an extended run.

A Little Night Music, produced by Spinning Tree Theatre, is now playing at the Off Center Theatre in Crown Center. Michael Grayman directs an immensely talented cast for the play with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler. The musical opened on Broadway in 1973 based on a film by Ingmar Bergman. Andy Parkhurst designed the choreography, which early in Act I is impressive as the performers entangle themselves on stage. This production marks the largest cast utilized by Spinning Tree Theatre.

City Theater Company's 20th Anniversary season closes with a dose of hip-hop hilarity in the form of The Bomb-itty of Errors, an "ad-rap-tation" of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors. The play was written by Jordan Allen-Dutton, Jason Catalano, GQ, and Erik Weiner, with music by J.A.Q.

A Little Night Music by Stephen Sondheim marks the largest cast to appear for the Spinning Tree Theatre in Kansas City. The production on the Off Center Theatre stage in Crown Center will feature 13 actors and 7 musicians. The Ingmar Bergman film Smiles of a Summer Night inspired the Sondheim musical.

Andy Parkhurst and Michael Grayman describe their current production of Motherhood Out Loud as, "our Valentine to all the parents who have supported, inspired, and endured us." Opening night for Motherhood Out Loud, an Off-Broadway Kansas City premiere produced by Spinning Tree Theatre at the Off Center Theatre is Saturday February 8, with previews the two preceding nights.
