The Donmar Warehouse today announces the appointment of Nick Giles as the new Executive Producer, taking over from James Bierman. Giles will join Artistic Director Michael Grandage as he enters his final year with the company, and work alongside the core Executive team. He takes up the appointment effective as of 31 January 2011.

Oscar Wilde's much loved play, An Ideal Husband has extended its run at The Vaudeville Theatre by an additional week until Saturday 26th February 2011.

The National Theatre will be bringing Broadway's Fela! to London's Olivier Theatre for a November 6 premiere. The show will be joined by Michael Grandage's Danton's Death and new plays by Moira Buffini and Mike Bartlett. Also announced by the National, Desmond Barrit and Malcom Sinclair will be joining the cast of The Habit of the Art beginning July 14.

Broadway bound Ricky Martin is set to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show on November 2. In the interview, the latin superstar will discuss his take on coming out as a gay man and becoming a single father of twins. Accorning to an article by Baz Bamigboye for UK Daily Mail, director Danny Boyle has as cast not one, but two stars to lead his upcoming production of Nick Dear's FRANKENSTEIN play. Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller will alternate between the title character and his creator. Performances begin in February at the National Theatre.

On the heels of his success this summer at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, where, almost 'steal[ing] the show' (Independent), he proved himself a 'thrilling Adorno' (Financial Times) opposite Plácido Domingo in Simon Boccanegra, Joseph Calleja begins the 2010-11 season with his Houston Grand Opera debut in a new, opening-night production of Madama Butterfly. Calleja sings B.F. Pinkerton opposite soprano Ana Maria Martinez, who makes her role debut as the tragic Cio-Cio-San. The production team will be led by the renowned British director Michael Grandage, who received the 2010 Tony Award for Best Director of a Play for Red, and who is celebrated by theater audiences for his productions of Hamlet and Frost/Nixon. The cast of Madama Butterfly will work under HGO Music Director Patrick Summers. The first performance on October 22 marks the opening night of the company's 2010-11 season, and the production runs through November 5.
