Tony nominees J. Robert Spencer and Mitchell Jarvis will headline the 2015 Adirondack Theatre Festival presentation of the new folk rock/bluegrass musical, THE unCIVIL WAR, July 9-18. Rick Kunzi (Book, Music, Lyrics), Justin Zeppa (Book), and Adam Barnosky's (Music) original musical comedy, previously known as Bayonet of Angst, premiered at NYMF in 2014 to rave reviews, and was the winner of four festival awards, including Best Book and Best Ensemble.

Today the South Australian Government has announced $90 million towards the redevelopment of the Adelaide Festival Centre. This is the most significant capital infrastructure works undertaken at the Centre since it was opened in 1973.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the winners of the NYMF 2014 Awards for Excellence. Awards are voted on by the NYMF jury and the awards were presented at the closing night celebration on July 27th at Arena Events Space.

Set in the present day on the porch of a swamp house in Mississippi, BAYONETS OF ANGST introduces audiences to a handful of old codgers who are partaking in their annual reunion. In fact, this is their 149th gathering, and each year the shrinking group gets together to relive their experiences during the American Civil War. As an audience, we are told to forget what we learned in history because these men were there. Over the next two hours, we are treated to a dizzying array of madcap, behind-the-scenes hilarity that turns history on its head.

From paintings and sculptures to decorative arts objects and textiles, Realms of Wonder spans 1300 years of art making. On public display for the first time will be many works of art from the Art Gallery's holdings, as well as works on loan from private collections.

Michael Abbott, a long-time television, film, and theatre producer who produced the first New York production of Stalag 17 in 1951, died of cancer on Thursday January 24, 2008 at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. He was 81.

Although Spike Lee won't reveal his previously announced theatrical project until a June 28th press conference, the production will most likely be of the WWII comedy-drama Stalag 17.

Academy Award-nominated director Spike Lee will announce an upcoming theatrical project with producer Michael Abbott on Thursday, June 28 at the Palace Theatre, 1564 Broadway, between 46th and 47th Streets.
