The very first look at stage and screen superstar Meryl Streep as the Witch in Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's fairy tale-themed musical INTO THE WOODS has now been revealed, showcasing the three-time Academy Award winner in perhaps her most grisly guise to date.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Katie Holmes has signed on for the film adaptation of the hit young adult novel THE GIVER by Lois Lowry, directed by Philip Noyce. The movie will hit theaters on August 15, 2014, also starring Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges and Brenton Thwaites. Michael Mitnick penned the script.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced The Pianist of Willesden Lane, a one-woman play starring internationally acclaimed pianist and storyteller Mona Golabek.
