Immersive Production THE OBLIGATION Comes to San Francisco

Internationally acclaimed actor Roger Grunwald explores a world gone mad in The Obligation, his riveting, immersive one person stage drama. Directed by Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle award winner Nancy Carlin, this celebrated work interweaves the stories of a Polish Jew coming of age during World War II, a half-Jewish lieutenant in Hitler's army, a high-ranking SS officer, and a Jewish-American comedian (the play's Chorus)-all brought to life onstage in Grunwald's tour-de-force performance.

Rob Marshall, Oscar-nominee, DGA and Emmy-award winning filmmaker, producer, theater director and choreographer whose films have consistently reflected the highest quality of production design, will receive the prestigious Cinematic Imagery Award from the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE, Local 800) at its 23 rd Annual Art Directors Guild's Excellence in Production Design Awards. The 2019 Awards, themed 'Production Design: Landscape of the Imagination,' will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown and will honor the prestigious spectrum of Marshall's extraordinary award-winning work. The announcement was made today by ADG Council Chairman Mark Worthington ADG and Awards Producers Scott Moses ADG and Marco Miehe ADG.

Inside the Actors Studio has partnered with Ovation TV to to produce and air future episodes of the series, according to Variety. The show, which has aired on Bravo since it began in 1994, is an award-winning interview series about the art of acting. As part of the agreement, Ovation will curate content from the series' extensive library for additional episodes.

Following the announcement of their Opening Night Film, Yen Tan's award-winning AIDS drama 1985, NewFest today announced the full lineup of their 30th annual celebration of the year's best LGBT films from around the world. The program of more than 140 narrative features, documentaries, episodic series and shorts runs from October 24-30 at the SVA Theatre, Cinépolis Chelsea, and The LGBT Community Center in New York City.
