Oscar Night is officially upon us! As mentioned earlier, while Hollywood's annual toast to the best in film is not as 'full-on Broadway' as, say, that other awards show typically held in June, this year's ceremony is looking to be a more theatrical, thanks in no small part to the overwhelming success of a certain little-known film called LA LA LAND (and hey… don't a couple people involved in that film have a big Broadway hit on their hands as well? Hmmm…???)

Fresh off of his critically acclaimed run as Patrick Ness in the new Off-Broadway production of 'YES' at The Manhattan Repertory Theatre, frequent New York concert staple and 2016 Thespis Award Nominee Tim Realbuto will return to Feinstein's/54 Below for the first time since 2014. In his all new show Tim Realbuto: Made of Glass, Realbuto and friends will sing the tunes of pop superstar Demi Lovato. But don't expect to hear your favorite typical arrangements. Realbuto, longtime musical director Julianne B. Merrill, and 'Ghostlight' collaborator Matthew Martin will arrange many of Ms. Lovato's greatest hits to sound more jazzy and Broadway in style (although many of Lovato's classics will remain the same).

Half Moon Theatre, the Hudson Valley's regional professional theatre company, continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary season in 2017.

The hilarious new holiday musical Snow Way Out has been selected to close out the York Theatre Company's reading series for 2016 with a one-time only star-studded reading on December 19th at 2:00 PM at The York Theatre, 619 Lexington Ave (E. 54th Street) on the lower level of Saint Peter's Church.

Laura Osnes' journey to Broadway was anything but ordinary. Having competed on the reality series GREASE: YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT, she went on to win and make her Great White Way debut as a brunette Sandy in 2007. She proceeded to make craterous impressions on Broadway, replacing Kelli O'Hara in Lincoln Center's SOUTH PACIFIC, as well as originating the role of Bonnie in BONNIE & CLYDE, earning the first of her Tony nominations, followed by the titular Cinderella in Broadway's first production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, for which she earned her second. Osnes will return to Feinstein's/54 Below on November 27, kicking off a string of four shows in which she travels down the roads that might have been, performing songs from roles she nearly booked but, for one reason or another, never came to be. BroadwayWorld chatted with the sweet-as-pie multi-talent about why her forthcoming Broadway gig, THE BANDSTAND, is a vital piece of theater, her co-star Corey Cott, and the inspiration for her unusual cabaret premise (here's a spoiler: Osnes keeps a literal binder in her closet labeled 'Songs I Learned for Auditions').
