Students from 10 NYC public schools, whose plays will be published by renowned publisher Samuel French, will showcase their original works and perform them at The Pearl Theatre as part of the acclaimed LEAP OnStage program. LEAP OnStage, created by Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP), immerses 500 public school students, mostly in communities underserved by the arts, in a comprehensive theater program.

America-in-Play presents the premiere of A Time-Traveler's Trip to Niagra, Following the Bold Adventures and Strange Detours of an Unlikely Group of Travelers Across Time and America. Running through May 18 at the Hudson Guild Theatre (441 West 26th Street), this unique comedy interweaves two journeys up the Hudson River: one by bus in 2014 and one by steamboat in 1828. From upper class Brits taking a tour of the Early Republic to a modern brother and sister taking a bus ride upstate to trace their roots, the two trips converge at the iconic and spectacular Niagara Falls and aim to investigate the relationship between the American landscape and identity while exploring ties between past and future. A unique 'Dime Museum' exploring Americana and the play will be open 30 minutes before each performance. Check out a first look below!

Theater for the New City and Crystal Field, Artistic Director have announced the world premiere production of Gaspare DiBlasi's 'L'Chayim', directed by Jesse Marchese (Assistant to the Artistic Director of Off-Broadway's award-winning Mint Theater Company) as part of their 2013 Dream Up Festival. Both artists are returning to both TNC and the Dream Up Festival after last year's sold-out production of DiBlasi's '50 Things I Love About Frank'. L'Chayim will play a limited engagement at Theater for the New City, 155 1st Avenue (Between 9th and 10th Streets). New York, New York, 10003. Performances begin tonight, August 21 and continue through Sunday, August 25.

This July at the Flea Theater, America-In-Play will present the premiere of Exodus Code: Advice for Wanderers, a new theater production inspired by Yiddish vaudeville and the history of the Lower East Side. Running from July 12-July 28 and featuring direction from Lynn M. Thomson, the production will honor this long-neglected and entertaining cultural art form, linking the past to the present and bringing together an array of immigrant stories to evoke an archetypal immigrant experience. The show was first read at and developed with the assistance of the Lower East Side Tenement Museumwhere America-In-Play had a four-year partnership.

'I Kreon' New Adaptation Address 9/11 Attacks, Opens Nov.1

New Moon Rep and Roust Theatre Company will present the world premiere of I Kreon, a contemporary verse adaptation by Aole T. Miller of the Sophocles classic drama Antigone. Directed by Aole T. Miller, I Kreon will begin performances on November 8, with the official opening scheduled for November 11. Performances will be at Walkerspace (46 Walker Street) in TriBeCa, and will continue through December 1.
