Everyone knows the musical all too well. At least for those who were already breathing theater when The Phantom of the Opera opened in London's West End in 1986, and on Broadway in 1988.

Broadway's longest-running musical, 'The Phantom of the Opera,' returns to Manila again this 2019 at the Theatre at Solaire. This Andrew Lloyd Webber musical is a classic, and since 2012, its return to the Philippines has been much-awaited. This new world tour of 'The Phantom of the Opera' has 130 cast, crew, and orchestra players working on it, bringing international audiences a show of unparalleled quality and caliber.

Excerpts from some of the much awaited musical numbers from the new world tour production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'The Phantom of the Opera,' which kicked off last Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at The Theatre at Solaire in Paranaque City, have been unveiled to local newsgroups.

When the new world tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's behemoth, 'The Phantom of the Opera,' kicks off in Manila, Philippines this February 20, 2019, the production will transport you back to the original London production (still playing!), which opened at Her Majesty's Theatre on October 9, 1986.

Beginning July 31st, returning cast member Jake Boyd (as 'Anthony') and original cast members Betsy Morgan (as 'Pirelli & Beggar Woman') and Joseph Taylor (as 'Tobias') join current cast members

The Tooting Arts Club production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street makes history today as it becomes the longest running production of Sweeney Todd on record. Today's performance marks 558, surpassing the 1979 Original Broadway Production directed by Hal Prince.

Award-winning actress Fran Drescher ('The Nanny') and actor Christian Navarro (Netflix's 13 Reasons Why' breakout star) are the latest performers to join the lineup of Broadway Sings for Pride's 8th Annual Charity Concert 'Revolution' on June 18th at The Cutting Room in New York City.
