Casting Announced For Playwrights For A Cause Benefit For The Ali Forney Center: MY SEXUALITY IS _______

This year, Planet Connections' signature event, designed to address a powerful social and topical issue facing our society today through engaging stage works, will explore the distinctions between gender and sexuality. The event will benefit THE ALI FORNEY CENTER, whose mission is to protect LGBTQ youths from the dangers of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to live independently.

Boomerang Celebrates 20 Years With TWELFTH NIGHT

THE AWARD-WINNING BOOMERANG THEATRE COMPANY, celebrating 20 years of producing re-imagined classics and world premieres, is pleased to present William Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Sara Thigpen. TWELFTH NIGHT will play a limited outdoor engagement at Central Park (69th Street and Central Park West, NYC). Performances begin Saturday, June 16 and continue through Sunday, July 15. Opening is Sunday, June 24 (2 p.m.).

THE TENTH PLANET: Planet Connections Turns 10

This summer, Planet Connections Theatre Festivity (PCTF), the brainchild of arts professional Glory Kadigan, turns 10 years old. In that decade, PCTF has successfully changed the landscape of the theatre festival and all of New York independent theatre. The multi-award-winning theatre festival will celebrate in a big way by premiering more than 50 timely and topical plays and musicals written by the next generation of playwrights. Each play contains a powerful message serving as a parable of various world themes.

Performance dates are TODAY, AUGUST 9th - 1pm, TUESDAY AUGUST 12th - 2pm, MONDAY AUGUST 18th - 8:45pm, WEDNESDAY AUGUST 20th - 8:45pm, and THURSDAY AUGUST 21st - 4:45pm. Running time is approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.

Boomerang's ROCK-N-ROLES to Return 4/5

The Boomerang Theatre Company will present their annual ROCK-N-ROLES new play event on Saturday April 5th at 8pm. Six new short plays inspired by great rock songs will be presented, along with live musicians. The event will take place at TheatreLab, 357 W 36th Street in New York City.
