'Disturbed People' A Florida Rep Showcase

The showcase features the talents of Jack Benton, Trey Gerrald, Jessica Leach and Mary-Margaret Roberts. Their work with Florida Rep's Children's Theatre series was seen all season long in the Rep's three offerings for kids & families. On the Arcade Stage, Leach was seen last in Art of Murder, Gerrald and Roberts in Alone Together and Benton most recently appeared in Star Crossed Lovers, Florida Rep's collaboration with the Southwest Florida Symphony.

SiNNERMAN Ensemble presents their third production, the world premiere of 'Bible B-Sides,' an original, multi-media show created from several lesser known Old Testament Bible stories, adapted by the ensemble and director Matt Miller. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes tragic, the company delves into the universal humanity, complex relationships and exciting discoveries of these inherently relevant and surprising stories. The Bible stories featured will include Abraham, Sarah and Hagar; Deborah; David and Bathsheba; David and Mephibosheth; Ehud and Eglon; Hosea and Gomer; Jephthah and his daughter; Lot and his daughters; and the rape of Tamar. 'Bible B-Sides' runs ninety minutes without intermission. SiNNERMAN, formed out of a Steppenwolf Theatre summer program, is spelled with all caps except for the 'i', and is named after the Nina Simone song.

In an unprecedented revival, ZAP! is back for a second season in the Lunchbox Theatre Series, and is an electrifying play about electricity! Written by award-winning playwright, Eric Coble, ZAP! was commissioned specially by Florida Rep and Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) in 2007, and will educate children of all ages about the many wonders of electricity, history, safety and conservation.
