Peter Pan Plays The Whole Backstage Theatre in Guntersville

This fall, the Whole Backstage Theatre is offering its young theatre-going community to a chance to experience a show all its own. PETER PAN, written by J. M. Barrie and adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller, will bring children of all ages a new and spectacular version of the timeless fairytale.

WaterTower Theatre today announced casting details for Our Town which opens the Company's 15th anniversary season. The ensemble cast includes Terry Martin, WaterTower Theatre's Producing Artistic Director (who is also directing the play) in the role of the avuncular Stage Manager, who narrates the action.

In Paul Rudnick's Neil Simon-esque comedy, the jokes fly fast and furious as the main characters navigate the complications of modern marriage, friendship and squandered riches.

Previews will begin today at Virginia's Signature Theatre for the world premiere musical Sycamore Trees written by Ricky Ian Gordon, the award-winning composer of the opera The Grapes of Wrath and the musicals Dream True and My Life with Albertine. A starry Broadway cast portrays Gordon's own family story - complete with a tough Bronx-born father and former 'Borscht Belt' singer/comedian mother - in a tale of two generations' struggles and triumphs in the decades from World War II through the 1990s.
