New Georges Presents Three World Premieres as Part of JAM ON TOAST Festival, Now thru 5/31

New Georges will present World Premiere productions by Kate Benson (2014 Clubbed Thumb Biennial Commission winner), Krista Knight (Salamander Leviathan at Joe's Pub; Clementine and the Cyber Ducks at Incubator Arts Project), and Caroline V. McGraw (2013 Page 73 Playwriting Fellow) as part of The New Georges Jam On Toast, a brand-new festival featuring work by The New Georges Jam, a 'performance gym' for early-career female playwrights and directors founded in 2010 by Lucy Alibar, Jess Chayes, and Portia Krieger.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson founded The Row in 2006 and now, almost 10 years later, they have opened the brand's first flagship store on Melrose Place. Their 'hidden gem' is 3,800 square-feet and looks like a midcentury modern house Californian house, swimming pool and all.

Casting has been announced and a complete schedule is set for SUMMERWORKS 2014 - the annual season of new plays presented by the four-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb -- it has been announced by Maria Striar, Clubbed Thumb's Producing Artistic Director. SUMMERWORKS 2014 will be presented May 30 to July 5 at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd St.) in Manhattan. Single tickets are now on sale for $18, students tickets are $15 and festival passes are $45. SUMMERWORKS 2014 will feature productions of three new plays: 41-DERFUL written and directed by Jenny Schwartz; I'M PRETTY f**kED UP by Ariel Stess, directed by Kip Fagan, and 16 WORDS OR LESS by Peggy Stafford, directed by Portia Krieger.

America-in-Play presents the premiere of A Time-Traveler's Trip to Niagra, Following the Bold Adventures and Strange Detours of an Unlikely Group of Travelers Across Time and America. Running through May 18 at the Hudson Guild Theatre (441 West 26th Street), this unique comedy interweaves two journeys up the Hudson River: one by bus in 2014 and one by steamboat in 1828. From upper class Brits taking a tour of the Early Republic to a modern brother and sister taking a bus ride upstate to trace their roots, the two trips converge at the iconic and spectacular Niagara Falls and aim to investigate the relationship between the American landscape and identity while exploring ties between past and future. A unique 'Dime Museum' exploring Americana and the play will be open 30 minutes before each performance. Check out a first look below!

This satire about love and growing-up and "being real" will be directed by Flea Resident Director Kristen Seemel and feature members of The Bats. The Flea Theater kicks off its Fall 2013 Season with the New York Premiere of Jonathan Caren's THE RECOMMENDATION - a play about class, race, power and what happens to a friendship when the tables get turned. The 2012 production at The Old Globe in San Diego won the Craig Noel Outstanding New Play Award. Helmed by Flea Resident Director Kel Haney and featuring The Bats, the resident acting company at The Flea, this production plays August 23 - September 22, Wednesday - Sunday at 7pm with press opening on September 6. Tickets are $15 - $35.
