Falcon Theatre is proud to present Paul Miller's production of Wrap Your Heart Around It, written, composed and performed by Five-time Grammy nominated Nashville musician LynnMarie Rink. Produced by Emmy award winning producer/director Paul Miller and directed by the acclaimed Michael Kearns, with musical direction by Nashville recording artist Paul Carrol Binkley, Wrap Your Heart Around It won Best Production of the 2012 United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City and has been catching the attention of industry professionals and fans alike.

Bay Area Cabaret concluded its 2012-2013 season by honoring the memory and legendary career of composer Marvin Hamlisch on June 2, 2013. Selections from his work (A Chorus Line, The Way We Were, They're Playing Our Song) were performed by special guests, including Broadway stars Lisa Vroman (The Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd) and Karen Mason (Mamma Mia!, Sunset Boulevard), Grammy Award winner Billy Stritch, 2012 Bay Area Teen Idol winner Bobby Conte Thornton, Academy Award-winning songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman, and more. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a love-struck comedy taking the Benedum stage tonight, June 11-16, 2013. Audiences are sure to be delighted by the antics of seven brothers and 'wannabe' brides living under one roof in 19th century Oregon. Noted Broadway performers including Pittsburgh CLO alumni George Dvorsky and Mamie Parris will take the lead as Adam and Milly, along with an incredibly talented Pittsburgh CLO cast.

According to Audra McDonald's official website, the singer will be taking her first solo album in seven years, Go Back Home, on a national tour. Go Back Home was released May 21 on Nonesuch Records. The divas took all the top prizes at the 2013 Tony Awards, from Cyndi Lauper and Billy Porter (as Lola) of KINKY BOOTS through to Best Directors Diane Paulus and Pam McKinnon to Cicely Tyson, Patina Miller, Judith Light and Andrea Martin in the acting categories to Caroline O'Connor of A CHRISTMAS STORY to MATILDA, CINDERELLA, and beyond in smashing performances. Polished, practiced, poised and primed to deliver, the show was a splendid showcase for Broadway today, fabulously decked out to the nines (and over-elevens).

The annual 'ROCK THE DOCK' SUMMER BENEFIT BASH on Saturday, July 20, will be hosted by the one and only Susan Lucci. Actor and Bay Street Board Member, Richard Kind, who most recently won the DRAMA DESK AWARD for his role on Broadway's THE BIG KNIFE, will be the evening's celebrity auctioneer. Board member Joy Behar also plans on attending, with a host of other surprise celebrities. The gala is being held in honor and memory of the Theatre's founder and former Artistic Director, Sybil Christopher.

Bay Area Cabaret will conclude its 2012-2013 season by honoring the memory and legendary career of composer Marvin Hamlisch. Having performed with Bay Area Cabaret for the grand re-opening of the Venetian Room in 2010, Mr. Hamlisch will always hold a special place in Bay Area Cabaret's history. This tribute to his legacy will take place on the late composer's 69th birthday, tonight, June 2, 2013, at 8pm in the historic Venetian Room of the Fairmont San Francisco (950 Mason Street). High school vocalists from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri will compete today, June 1 at a regional for the Great American Songbook Vocal Academy & Competition. Sponsored by the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Initiative, the annual endeavor is the only U.S. competition dedicated solely to the music from Broadway, Hollywood musicals and the Tin Pan Alley era of the early to mid-twentieth century.
