Porchlight Music Theatre will present the highly anticipated Midwest Premiere of the new musical MEET JOHN DOE, based on the film of the same name by Frank Capra, previewing March 4, opening Tuesday, March 8th at 7:30 p.m., and running through April 17, 2011 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont, Chicago.

Play Dead,the new off-Broadway comic thriller co-written and directed by Teller (of Penn & Teller) and co-written & performed by Todd Robbins, will mark its 100th performance on Saturday, February 5 at 10pm at Off-Broadway's Players Theater (115 MacDougal Street at Minetta Lane). Play Dead opened to rave reviews on November 10, for an open-ended run. The cast of PLAY DEAD includes Geri Berman, Charlotte Pines, Drea Lorraine and Don Meehan.

According to a report by Deadline.com, Robert Forster is set to play Ronald Reagan in both the one-man stage show and movie version of David Rambo's The Lifeguard: Ronald Reagan and His Story. Tony award winning director Peter Hunt has also signed on for the project.

Civic Theatre of Allentown is seeking African American actors, singers, and dancers for its production of Ragtime: The Musical, and will hold auditions on Thursday, January 27th at 7:00 PM at Civic Theatre of Allentown, located at 527 N. 19th Street, Allentown, PA 18104. The auditions will take place in the rehearsal hall located above the theatre.
