The Philharmonia Orchestra of New York (PONY) is now the world's first orchestra to host its own film competition in search of talented filmmakers to create original films to accompany its performances.

The Broadway Loves series makes its return to Feinstein's/54 Below this April 3rd when over a dozen of Broadway's most distinctive voices will celebrate the original 'American Idol,' three-time grammy award winner Kelly Clarkson.

I was the assistant sound designer and the sound engineer for Auburn University Theatre's production of The Drowsy Chaperone. My duties ran from paperwork, to recordings, to sound pick-up, load-in, running the show, and strike. The sound designer was Anthony Narciso, who we have hired three times previously to design sound for our shows. I am still amazed at how much he can teach me, and how much I still have to learn, regardless of how well I'm doing at sound at the moment. There is never a moment when I want to stop learning about my field, or really when I want to stop learning in general. There is always going to be someone out there who knows more than I do, and it's not as threatening as it may seem. It's a challenge, yes, but also a wonderful experience of sharing and collaborating with what we know. I'm happy to announce that now I know what microphone Mariah Carey wants for her performances, and I know why she wants that, and why it matters. I can tell you what a line array is, and I've learned so much more about EQ than I thought I was going to during the run of The Drowsy Chaperone (like how bringing down a frequency will notch out those harsh 's' sounds, and how I should always cut out the low end of the frequencies).

THE WHO announced today that they will launch their exclusive Las Vegas residency this summer at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning July 29, 2017.

Last Saturday, March 4, country music superstars Reba McEntire, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn wrapped yet another run of sold-out shows of their hit residency  "Together in Vegas" at  The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.  Since the highly-anticipated opening in June 2015, "REBA, BROOKS & DUNN: Together in Vegas" has performed 45 shows.  Solidified as the longest running country music residency ever at the venue, the trio will next return this summer on June 21, 2017 to kick off their third consecutive year as Colosseum headliners.

Nick Cannon stopped by Entertainment Weekly's THE SHOW this week and teased that he has some big plans in store for his successful MTV comedy series WILD N OUT, including a run on the Great White Way.

Classical singer/musical actress, Aimee Marcoux-Spurlock, whose true-life story will come to the big screen in 2017, will make her Metropolitan Room debut on February 3rd with Women of Bilbao, a collection of Kurt Weill's compositions from his 12-tone Weimar period to his more lush Broadway compositions. Marcoux-Spurlock has performed over fifty operatic, musical theater and oratorio roles with leading orchestras and opera companies across the globe. The Women of Bilbao repertoire will include 'Surabaya Johnny' from Happy End, 'Moon of Alabama,' from The Rise and Fall of the City ofMahagonny and 'That's Him' from One Touch of Venus. The singer will be joined by Doug Martin as Pianist/ Conductor (Baz Luhrmann's La Boheme on Broadway).
