The LCT3 production of GRACELAND, a new play by Ellen Fairey, plays at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project, (229 W. 42 Street). Marin Hinkle, David Gelles Hurwitz, Brian Kerwin, Polly Lee and Matt McGrath are featured in the play which is directed by Henry Wishcamper. This New York premiere began previews May 3, and opened Monday, May 17. The production runs through Saturday, May 29. LCT3 is Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences.

Previews begin Wednesday, June 2 for the Lincoln Center Theater production of A. R. Gurney's new play, THE GRAND MANNER., directed by Mark Lamos, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 W. 65 Street). Kate Burton, Boyd Gaines, Bobby Steggert and Brenda Wehle comprise the four character cast of its world premiere production which will open on Sunday, June 27.

Guare's FREE MAN OF COLOR Gets $100,000 Grant for LCT Production this Fall

Variety reports today that John Guare's FREE MAN OF COLOR, which will premiere at Lincoln Center next season, is the recipient of a $100,000 grant from National Actors Theater Foundation. The Tony Randall Theatrical Fund has granted Lincoln Center an additiona, undisclosed amount of money to help support it's production of non-profit shows. Both organizations are run by late actor Tony Randall's daughter, Heather.

STANDING ON CEREMONY: THE GAY MARRIAGE PLAYS, a collection of short plays written for marriage equality to benefit Human Rights Campaign, Marriage Equality New York and New York Theatre Workshop will take place on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Angel Orensanz Center, 172 Norfolk Street in New York City, between Houston and Stanton Streets. The New York Daily News is reporting that Spanish director Pedro Almodovar told press at the Cannes Festival that Jessica Biel, who took part in the staged readings of the new musical, 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown' at Lincoln Center, has signed on for the full production.

Arena Stage Artistic Director Molly Smith announces the D.C.-based pioneering theater company's 60th season filled with award-winning artists and projects to celebrate the grand opening of Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. The 2010/11 inaugural season includes eight full productions, seven presentations from the National Endowment for the Arts New Play Development Program and public readings from all 30 of Edward Albee's works, totaling at least 45 projects produced and presented by Arena Stage in the inaugural year at the Mead Center. With the opening next fall, Arena Stage will fully become a national center for production, presentation, development and study of American theater.
