A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held daily for WICKED, which will be performing from Wednesday, September 7 through Sunday, October 2, at the Benedum Center. Each day, 2½ hours prior to show time people who present themselves at the Theater Square Box Office, 655 Penn Avenue, downtown Pittsburgh will have their names placed in a lottery drum and then thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person.

Broadway's biggest blockbuster, WICKED, is returning to Hollywood's Pantages Theatre for a limited holiday engagement November 30 - January 29, and they are celebrating with a two-hour party in the Pantages Grand Lobby on Saturday, September 17th from 12 noon to 2 pm!

Beginning performances on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, Jackie Burns and Chandra Lee Schwartz will assume the roles of Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, in the Broadway cast of Wicked. Ms. Burns and Ms. Schwartz come to Broadway directly from Wicked's First National Tour. The Broadway company currently features Richard H. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Writers Guild of America and screenwriter Jessica Bendinger filed a claim last week against BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL, which is to launch a national tour in October. Bendinger seeks damages from Beacon Communications Corp. for 'exploiting Bendinger's dramatic rights in the cheerleader-themed Bring It On without her consent, in violation of the guild agreement's 'separated rights' provisions.'

First Lady Michelle Obama, and her daughters Sasha and Malia, spent the evening of Friday, July 15 in the Presidential Box at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC catching a performance of the ever ‘popular' musical WICKED. But that was not the first time the three have seen Broadway's biggest blockbuster. Michelle and her daughters first saw the musical in its sit-down engagement in their hometown of Chicago in 2007, and then again in 2008 before the family moved to Washington, DC.
