MCC Theater presents the New York premiere of Jennifer Haley's The Nether directed byAnne Kaufman. Ben Rosenfield, memorably of the final two seasons of 'Boardwalk Empire,' and rising talent Sophia Anne Caruso will take on the roles of Woodnut and Iris, respectively. As previously announced, The Nether will also star 'Nurse Jackie' Emmy Award winner Merritt Wever, New York theater veteran Peter Friedman and Tony Award winner Frank Wood. The Nether continues through March 15, 2015 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street), with opening night set for February 24th. Check out photos of the cast in action below!

MCC THEATER has announce dthat actor and "Daily Show" regular Aasif Mandvi will serve as emcee for this year's Miscast 2015 Gala, to be held Monday, March 30, 2015 at The Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center (311 West 34th Street). In addition, two performers have been added to the lineup: Ben Platt of "Pitch Perfect" and recently of Broadway's The Book of Mormon; and Leslie Odom Jr. of NBC's "Smash" and currently starring in The Public's smash hit Hamilton as Aaron Burr.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents Abundance, the 1990 play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley (Crimes of the Heart). An epic tale of friendship set against the backdrop of the sweeping American West, Abundance will be directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, who directed last season's production of William Inge's Natural Affection. Performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) tonight, February 17, 2015.

Profiles Theatre continues its 26th Season with the Chicago premiere of The Other Place by Sharr White, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The production runs tonight, February 13 - April 5, 2015 at Profiles Theatre's The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway. The press opening is Thursday, February 19 at 8pm.

Andy Mientus, who currently plays 'Marius' in Les Miserables on Broadway, will make his first appearance in his guest starring role of 'Pied Piper' in CW's THE FLASH tonight, January 27, at 8 p.m. on The CW. The character is described as hearing impaired and the first openly gay villain to be featured on the small or big screen.
