PAOLA HARTLEY and ASTRIT ZEJNATI, principal dancers of Ballet Arizona, will appear as guest artists in the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet's production of The Nutcracker which will be performed on December 1 (Evening), and December 2 (Matinee), 2012 at the Riverview Theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Donna Moore's Cougar the Musical will get its World Premiere this summer under the direction of Tony Award and Drama Desk Nominated director/choreographer Lynne Taylor- Corbett at St. Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street). Cougar the Musical will begin performances on Friday, August 10 and will open on Sunday, August 26 in an open ended run. LA Master Chorale Showcases 1,000 Southland Teens at High School Choir Festival Tonight, 5/4

For 23 years, the Los Angeles Master Chorale has helped fuel a passion for choral music among Southland teenagers with its annual High School Choir Festival, a yearlong music education and mentoring program that reaches nearly 1,000 students and their choir teachers in 25 local high schools, culminating with a free concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall where the public can hear the next generation of singers. This year's event, the 23rd Annual Los Angeles Master Chorale High School Choir Festival, features participating students in a massed 1,000-voice choir tonight, May 4, 2012, at 1 pm, at Disney Hall. There will also be a special performance by the 80-voice Festival honor Choir, comprised of students from the 25 participating schools. Grant Gershon, music director of the LA Master Chorale, conducts both choirs, which have been rehearsing for the concert since last fall.

Today in 1997, Titanic opened at the Lunt-Fonatnne Theatre, where it ran for 804 performances. Titanic is a musical with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone that won five Tony Awards including the award for Best Musical. Titanic is set on the ocean liner RMS Titanic which sank on its maiden voyage on April 15, 1912. Directed by Richard Jones with choreography by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, the cast included John Cunningham, David Garrison, Larry Keith, Alma Cuervo, Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, and Brian d'Arcy James.

Tony Award winning triple threat Donna McKechnie will always be remembered as Cassie in A Chorus Line, and of course for her solo within it 'The Music and the Mirror'. This vet of Broadway, TV and film is currently teaching a musical comedy class at HB Studio in New York and in our chat offers some choice anecdotes from her career. She will appear in Original Cast 3, this year's S.T.A.G.E. (Southland Theatrical Artists Goodwill Event) benefit for APLA (Aids Project Los Angeles) Saturday April 28 at the Saban Theatre.

Lincoln Center's Target Free Thursdays to Offer ASKING FOR IT and TITANIC TALES in March and April

Two exciting theater pieces come to Lincoln Center as part of Target Free Thursdays at the David Rubenstein Atrium this March and April: first on March 29, Asking For It, a moving and funny one-woman show by Joanna Rush to mark Women's History Month; then on April 12, Titanic Tales, a music-theater work recalling the tragic voyage in survivors own words, set to music of the period. Both performances take place at 8:30 p.m.
