JACK presents the world premiere of Ducklings by Amina Henry, running May 25 - June 10, 2017.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced five productions as part of its complete 2017/18 Season.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Tasha Lawrence, Morocco Omari, Karen Pittman, Namir Smallwood, Jaime Lincoln Smith, and Heather Velazquez will be featured in its upcoming production of PIPELINE, a new play by Dominique Morisseau, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, which begins performances Thursday, June 15 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).  Opening night is Monday, July 10.

Community, collaboration and crime capture the mood at Bristol Riverside Theatre's production of Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution, running May 9-May 28.  Directed by Susan D. Atkinson, the high-voltage thriller by the Queen of Crime drama, which concludes BRT's 30th Anniversary Season, features an ensemble of professional actors Sharon Alexander, Keith Baker, Kenneth Boys, Hanna Gaffney,  Leonard C. Haas, Eleanor Handley, Thomas-Robert Irvin, Kyra Leeds, Matt Leisy, James Luse, William R. McHattie, Christopher J. Perugini, Carl Wallnau, Paul B. Weagraff, and Kylie Westerbeck performing alongside Bucks County community members Missy Andrews, Mari Bernhagen, Drew Burke, Melissa Bushey, David Owen Cashell, Sybil Cooper, Matthew DiMarino, Ginny Fairweather, Maryann Fanning, Michael Gearty, Regina Gluhski, Terri Hall, Sarah Konyves, Donna Rae Lee, Matt Lydon, Sr., Matt Lydon, Jr., Donna McCole, Ronald Pae, Eileen Peters, Dottie Polsenberg, Lesia Pryor, Patricia Rooney, Kurt Scholer, Marion M. Walter, Harriet Zeff, and Margie Zielinski.

Clever Little Lies opened to acclaim at the Morris Museum's Bickford Theatre last week and runs through May 7. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Eric Hafen, this production of Clever Little Lies stars Harriett Trangucci as Alice, Bob Mackasek as Bill Sr., Rachel Matusewicz as Jane, and Ben Kaufman as Billy, Jr. 

Stage Left Theatre will present LeapFest XIV, Stage Left's annual new-play festival, running July 9 - July 26, 2017. LeapFest features several new plays with socio-political themes, presented as workshop productions in rotating repertory. This year's festival includes new works from Sam Chanse, Liam Fitzgerald, Dana Lynn Formby, Isaac Gomez, and Joe Zarrow.

Paper Mill Playhouse, recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has announced casting for the hit Broadway musical Mary Poppins based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney Film with original music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, book by Julian Fellowes, new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, and co-created by Cameron Mackintosh. Bank of America is the Major Sponsor of Mary Poppins.

Pushcart Players, New Jersey's Emmy-nominated and award-winning theater for young audiences will perform "Alice in Wonderland" at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn NJ on Sunday, May 7 at 10:00 am.

Portland Stage mounts the annual Little Festival of the Unexpected with new play workshops from May 10 through May 13, 2017. Little Festival is a week-long event dedicated to public readings of new American plays. Three playwrights are in residence at Portland Stage throughout the week developing their scripts with input from actors, directors, dramaturgs, and audience members.

Ensemble Studio Theatre and Radio Drama Network announced today the lineup for the 36th MARATHON OF ONE-ACT PLAYS, the biennial festival series of brand new plays from emerging playwrights.

Ryan Jamaal Swain, Donnell E. Smith, Clinton Lowe and Sidiki Fofana will star in the award-winning playwright James Ijames' "Kill Move Paradise," opening at Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's National Black Theatre (NBT) this spring. The world premiere production is also the New York City debut of Ijames, a Whiting Award winner. Saheem Ali ("Nollywood," "The Booty Call," and "The Erlkings") will direct. The provocative production closes the historic theater's 48th season, "In Pursuit of Black Joy," and runs from May 31 through June 25.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey kicks off its 55th season with The Merchant of Venice, not seen at The Shakespeare Theatre since 2000. Acclaimed company member Robert Cuccioli returns to direct. Performances begin on May 17 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre located at 36 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ. New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) celebrated the memory, spirit and legacy of Shamsuddin Abdul-Hamid, affectionately known as 'Sham,' on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in the Victoria Theater. Sham's memorial gathering was joyful remembrance, including performances and tributes by those who knew and loved him and his friends at NJPAC. Scroll down for photos from the event!

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) will celebrate the memory, spirit and legacy of Shamsuddin Abdul-Hamid, affectionately known as "Sham. Sham's memorial gathering will be a joyful remembrance, including performances and tributes by those who knew and loved him and his friends at NJPAC.  "At the age of 25, Sham left a legacy of impressive achievements," said NJPAC President and CEO John Schreiber. "Sham grew up in NJPAC's Arts Education Department, from the seventh grade to high school graduation, and returned later as a college intern, then as a teacher, to guide others to love performance as he did. We are overwhelmed with sadness of his untimely death, and he will live forever in our hearts."

New Jersey Theatre Alliance (the Alliance), in partnership with New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), welcomes NJPAC Stage Exchange ("StageX") back for its third year. Cutting-edge play development meets insightful community dialogue at StageX, a program that involves three newly commissioned plays by three established New Jersey playwrights, three draft readings with public commentary at NJPAC in Newark, and three full productions at New Jersey professional theatres the following year.

Clever Little Lies, which premiered to critical acclaim in 2013 at the George Street Playhouse and then recently enjoyed a successful stint Off-Broadway, will be presented at the Morris Museum's Bickford Theatre from April 21 through May 7 with a preview performance on April 20. This new production of the comedy-drama, directed by Producing Artistic Director Eric Hafen, stars the popular Harriett Trangucci as Alice.
