Ghostlight Records to Release THE JOE ICONIS ROCK AND ROLL JAMBOREE, 4/16

Ghostlight Records has announced the digital release of THE JOE ICONIS ROCK AND ROLL JAMBOREE on April 16, 2013. The new album is a collection of songs performed by Joe and his merry band of musical theater misfits. Epic theater ballads, simple folk songs, heavy rock rave-ups and bar room sing-alongs coexist in this eclectic, borderline-insane line up of tunes. The album will be available through all digital music outlets.

Blessed Unrest, winner of the 2008 New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Production of a Play, presents EURYDICE'S DREAM, the company's newest original piece conceived by Jessica Burr (recipient of the 2011 League of Professional Theatre Women Lucille Lortel Award), and presented at the InterArt Theater (500 West 52nd Street, corner of 10th Avenue) in Manhattan. Preview performances of EURYDICE'S DREAM begin tonight, March 28 prior to an official press opening of April 1st, 2013.

Noted scholars will join combat veterans who have been involved in the project to discuss the themes of the play as they relate to the experience of the veteran community in America today and the wider society within which they live.

Hamish Linklater's THE VANDAL Will Be Filmed for Broadcast

The Flea has announced that Thirteen WNET will be filming the critically acclaimed production of THE VANDAL on March 29. A broadcast date has not been slated. Written by actor Hamish Linklater (School for Lies, Twelfth Night, Recent Tragic Events & The Busy World is Hushed, and TV's The New Adventures of Old Christine), The Vandal runs through March 31. It is directed by Flea Artistic Director Jim Simpson starring Zach Grenier, Deidre O'Connell, and Noah Robbins.

The production, based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film, opened to rave reviews on Sunday, March 18, 2012 and is playing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, 242 West 45th Street.
