Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Dracula, the Original Vampire Play, the second production in the 'Alley Theatre @ UH' season. Featuring iconic costume and set designs by Edward Gorey, the Alley's production is based on the original 1927 adaptation of the classic thriller that marvelously balances the menace of the horror tale with sophisticated satire.

Abingdon Theatre Company -- which has produced 83 new plays in its 21-year history -- launches its 2014-2015 Season with IT HAS TO BE YOU by Drama Desk nominee Catherine Butterfield (JOINED AT THE HEAD), set to begin previews tonight, October 3, at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Official press opening is set for Sunday, October 12, with performances through October 26. Drama Desk nominee Stuart Ross (ENTER LAUGHING, FOREVER PLAID) is set to direct.

Angels in America by Tony Kushner will be revived by Toneelgroep Amsterdam an directed by Ivo van Hove at BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House (30 Lafayette Ave) on October 23 & 24 at 7 p.m. and October 25 at 6 p.m. The production will feature set and light design by Jan Versweyveld, costume design by Wojciech Dziedzic, video design by Tal Yarden and music by Wim Selles. Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre launches its 27th Theatre Season with a revival of Conor McPherson's PORT AUTHORITY, directed by Ciaran O'Reilly. The production, which features Billy Carter, Peter Maloney, and James Russell, opens tonight, October 2nd. The production is scheduled to be performed through Sunday, November 16th.

The Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical Once, will welcome Once composer Marketa Irglova and star of the Academy Award-winning film, following the 7:00pm performance tonight, October 2nd.

The Old Globe will present a one-night-only event, Barry Edelstein In Conversation with Nathan Englander, on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. This special discussion will reunite Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and award-winning playwright and novelist Nathan Englander, whose play The Twenty-seventh Man, about a group of writers imprisoned in Soviet Russia under mysterious circumstances, makes its West Coast premiere at The Old Globe in February, directed once again by Edelstein. The event will explore the evolution of the play; its fascinating historical setting; Englander's work in fiction versus theatre; and literature's place in modern American culture.

'Mad Men' star Vincent Kartheiser and Broadway's Larry Pine (CASA VALENTINA) will play Billy Wilder and Raymond Chandler, respectively, in BILLY & RAY, Mike Bencivenga's new play -- directed by the legendary director/writer/producer Garry Marshall -- being given its NY premiere this fall at the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), with previews scheduled to begin tonight, October 1 prior to an official opening on October 20, it has been announced by Vineyard's Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern.

Playwright Simon Stephens has two major productions in New York this season.
