ETHEL, America's Groundbreaking Indie-Classical String Quartet, Announces Winter/Spring 2015 Season.

Tonight, October 11, Loudon Wainwright III, having recently released his 26th album Haven't Got the Blues (Yet), comes to the Schimmel Center at Pace University for an album release show. Tickets flew out the door for the December 4, 2014 Benaroya Hall concert by the popular Canadian Folk Bluegrass band The Wailin' Jenny's. A second concert will be added at 7:30 pm on Wednesday December 3, 2014 inside Benaroya Hall's Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall. On January 20 and 22, 2015 the dozen musicians that make up the Portland-based Pink Martini join forces with the Seattle Symphony for two concerts in the S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium. The Seattle Symphony Associate Conductor Stilian Kirov will lead the Pink Martini concerts.

Grammy nominee Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one of the great male vocalists and songwriters of his generation. In his Best of Rufus Wainwright concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, October 19, at 8 p.m., he'll bring together a variety of genres including, pop, opera, baroque, rock, classical and ragtime into his own unique style.

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison University announces the launch of its first Ensemble-in-Residence program, a collaboration between the Department of Music and the Vail Series. The Ensemble-in-Residence program will engage the entire campus and the greater community in an exploration of music and other academic disciplines.
