Bayou City Concert Musicals continues its popular cabaret series with Alone Together: The Songs of Arthur Schwartz, on three consecutive Monday nights in May, beginning Monday, May 6, and continuing on May 13 and May 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Christine Baranski, Kelli Barrett, Walter Bobbie, Jeremy Cohen, Dalton Harrod, Randy Skinner, Shonn Wiley, Karen Ziemba,New York City Ballet Principaldancer Joaquin De Luz and American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Irina Dvorovenkowill star in Rodgers and Hart's On Your Toes, the final Encores! presentation of the 2012-13 New York City Center season. Directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, On Your Toes will have guest music direction by Encores! founding music director Rob Fisher and will play seven performances, from May 8 - 12 at New York City Center, W. 55th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues). The "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" ballet, originally choreographed by George Balanchine, will be staged by Susan Pilarre, who served as a Ballet Mistress of the show's 1983 Broadway Revival.

The Colony Theatre will present the final production of its "Season of Premieres" with the World Premiere of FALLING FOR MAKE BELIEVE, with Music by Richard Rodgers, Lyrics by Lorenz Hart, Book by Mark Saltzman, and directed by Jim Fall, with Musical Direction by Keith Harrison and Choreography by Lisa Hopkins. FALLING FOR MAKE BELIEVE will preview on Wednesday, April 24; Thursday, April 25; and Friday, April 26 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, April 27 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, May 19.

Lyric Stage presents the premiere of the restored TOO MANY GIRLS April 26-May 5 in the Irving Arts Center's Carpenter Performance Hall. Joining Edward Watts (Superman) in the New York City Center Encores! production of It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman will be Jenny Powers as Lois Lane and David Pittu as the evil Dr. Sedgwick, along with Erich Bergen, Alli Mauzey, James Saito and Will Swenson. Superman will play at City Center for seven performances, tonight, March 20 - 24, and will be directed by John Rando with choreography by Joshua Bergasse and music direction by Rob Berman.

Her name first came to the attention of the music public when Bette Midler's version of Amanda's song 'The Rose' hit number one all over the world. But it was Amanda's performance of her own songs on the Golden Globes, the Grammy awards, and the Tonight Show that launched her career as a singer as well as a songwriter. Her songs have been recorded by the likes of Bette Midler, Barry Manilow, Judy Collins, Barbara Cook, Harry Belafonte, Betty Buckley, The Manhattan Transfer, and Donny Osmond.
