THE TOWN HALL'S Seventh Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival concludes with A TRIBUTE TO JUDY GARLAND AND THE ART OF AMERICAN DANCE on Friday, October 28th at 8pm.

With one of the most refreshingly unique career trajectories in recent show business history, the quirky late-80s/early-90s film star known for her outlandish John Waters comedies - HAIRSPRAY, CRY-BABY and SERIAL MOM included - parlayed her big screen success to a decade-long running eponymous talk-show in the 90s and early 00s that is still talked about to this day - look no further than Nicki Minaj's verse on the remix of Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" for proof - and, now, with news of the 2012 syndicated return of a new iteration of her show, a new memoir, as well as her current compelling casting on the new season of DANCING WITH THE STARS, Ricki Lake has clearly reached a new career high. Details have just been released on concerts featuring Broadway legends Elaine Stritch and Lorna Luft at New York City's Town Hall. Stritch will appear on October 22at 8Pm, while Luft will tribute Judy Garland and Gene Kelly on October 28 at 8PM.

Block will join the Tony Award winning company of Anything Goes performing the role of 'Reno Sweeney' while Sutton Foster is filming a television pilot for 2-3 weeks in November. The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, called 'a riotously funny and campy variety show' by Next Magazine, and 'a rollicking, wry affair complete with funny political commentary on current events' by Gay City News, will present their newest edition on Thursday, October 20 at 9:30 PM.

Luna Stage begins its new Jazz series, Music In The Moonlight: An Intimate Evening of Jazz on Sunday November 20th at 7pm with a concert by acclaimed vocalist Sarah Partridge. Ms. Partridge will be accompanied by pianist Allen Farnham.

The Town Hall, New York City's landmark theatre and concert venue (123 West 43rd Street), honored two influential women: Judith Jamison, Artistic Director Emerita of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Dr. Joyce F. Brown, President of the Fashion Institute of Technology. They received The Town Hall's ‘Friend of the Arts' Award on Sunday, October 16th, 2011. The award is presented annually to individuals in recognition and appreciation for their abiding interest in the development, enrichment and support of the arts.

Singer-songwriter and performer Cortes Alexander, who most recently starred in the Tony Award-winning Broadway show Liza's At The Palace, will present The Swell Show, a live show featuring the performance of songs from his debut album, Swell, at Barre Vermont in Los Angeles, on Nov. 14.

Paper Mill Playhouse has just announced that Ms. Lorna Luft will be featured in Paper Mill Playhouse's production of White Christmas opening November 16, 2011. White Christmas will run at the Millburn theater from November 16 through December 24. Full casting will be announced in the near future.

Minnelli has won a total of three Tony Awards awards, including a Special Tony Award. She is one of the few entertainers who have won an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award.

The Actors Fund and the Vineyard Theatre have announced details for their upcoming one-night-only benefit concert performance of Kander & Ebb's THE VISIT, starring Broadway stage legends and Tony Award winners Chita Rivera and John Cullum. Directed by Carl Andress with choreography by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking and musical direction by David Loud, the performance will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre (219 West 49th Street), current home to the celebrated revival of Kander & Ebb's worldwide smash Chicago.
