The Little Orchestra Society Opens Lolli-Pops Series With WHO’S GOT THE BEAT?

The Little Orchestra Society kicks off its 2011-2012 season with the first concert of its popular Lolli-PopsTM series, for children ages 3-5. Kids always love to visit their friends - Bang the Lion, Buzz the Bee, Toot the Bird and Bow the Panda - as they listen, learn and laugh out loud with the orchestra. On Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and Sunday, October 23, 2011, at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., The LOS presents a new production entitled Who's Got the Beat?.

A panel discussion titled 'Groundbreakers and Music Makers: The First Generation of Orchestral Women' will take place on Sunday, June 13, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Brooklyn Museum. Presented by the Museum's Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, the event will be held in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium and is free with Museum admission.
