Alliance & Slant'd Present Free Storytelling Workshop

On Tuesday, April 16, the Asian American Arts Alliance and Slant'd Media will collaborate to present a free program designed to empower Asian Americans with tools to reclaim and celebrate their narratives. The workshop will be limited to 20 participants to create an intimate environment where participants will be encouraged to share their stories in their own voices.

On Saturday evening, November 5, 2016, The Cleveland Orchestra will join with Beachwood High School to dedicate the school's newly renovated auditorium and celebrate the school system's outstanding music education programs. This concert is made possible by the Alfred Lerner In-School Performance Fund, created through a gift to The Cleveland Orchestra's endowment by Mrs. Norma Lerner and the Lerner Foundation. Co-directors/producers Deborah Goldstein (Publisher, Village Q), Brooke Lefferts (Writer, Associated Press, NBC Today), Sandy Rustin (Playwright, Rated P ... for Parenthood, The Cottage, Struck)are pleased to announce the incredible local cast of the 2015 North Jersey show of Listen to Your Mother, a national series of original live readings about motherhood (www.listentoyourmothershow.com). The production will be May 9th at 2:00 and 5:00 PM at The South Orange Performing Arts Center (One SOPAC Way, South Orange, NJ, 07079). Statewide open auditions were held in early March and 13 writers have been selected to join the movement of 'giving motherhood a microphone.' Tickets are $30-$35 and are available at www.sopacnow.org.
