Previews began Sunday May 15 on the basketball court of the Judson Memorial Church Gymnasium, 243 Thompson Street at Washington Square South. Opening is Sunday, June 5, at 8pm.

In LYSISTRATA JONES, the Athens University basketball team hasn't won a game in 30 years. But when spunky transfer student Lysistrata Jones dares the squad's fed-up girlfriends to stop ‘giving it up' to their boyfriends until they win a game, their legendary losing streak could be coming to an end. Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) launches its 27th season with the World Premiere of the new comedy, Olive and the Bitter Herbs by Charles Busch. Directed by Mark Brokaw, the cast will feature Dan Butler as Trey, Julie Halston as Wendy, Marcia Jean Kurtz as Olive and Richard Masur as Sylva. The role of Robert will be announced shortly.

THE DIVINE SISTER, the hit comedy written by and starring Charles Busch, will play its final performance on Sunday, May 1 at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). The show is ending its run due to previous commitments from several members of the cast. On May 1, THE DIVINE SISTER will have played 253 regular performances and 9 previews making it one of the longest running hits of Busch's Off-Broadway career.
