Continuing its 27th Season, Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the return of signature Lookingglass production Lookingglass Alice, adapted and directed by Ensemble Member David Catlin from the works of Lewis Carroll, produced in association with The Actors Gymnasium. Lookingglass Alice runs November 12, 2014 - February 15, 2015 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. The Press Opening is Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 and can be purchased through the box office at (312) 337-0665 or www.lookingglasstheatre.org.

The Forks & Hope ensemble has brought their celebrated devised adaptation of the Lewis Carroll poem The Hunting of the Snark to the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, playing through August 15. Originally produced by Strawdog Theatre Company in Chicago, the 50-minute, family-friendly adventure has been hailed by audiences and critics alike as 'mesmerizing,' 'thrilling,' and above all: 'fun.'

After last summer's critical success with a promenade adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Iris Theatre are returning to the gardens and grounds of St Paul's Church, Covent Garden for a sixth year of family-friendly theatre, and its sequel, Alice through the Looking Glass. Alice through the Looking Glass, by Lewis Carroll in a new adaptation by Daniel Winder and Candida Caldcott, will be presented from today, 30 July - Saturday 30 August. The Stratford Festival of Canada, whose present artistic director is Atoni Cimolino, started on July 13, 1953, when Sir Alec Guiness walked onto a stage located in a large tent and spoke the first lines of what has become the internationally-recognized celebration of theatre. Now housed in five theatres, offering plays and other entertainment from late April to November, Stratford is the largest repertoire theatre in North America. The offerings are not only the writings of Shakespeare, but a variety of classical and contemporary works, including musicals.

It's a level that most of us strive to reach but never achieve. Yet for director Dave Steakley, it's a well-deserved moniker. With his current production of Tommy, now playing at the Zach Theatre, Steakley pairs The Who's beloved rock-opera with the imaginative world of Alice in Wonderland. The result is a theatrical event that is impossible to forget.
