The Broadway League sadly just announced the passing of Leonard Soloway. Soloway was a 3-time Tony Award winning Producer, General Manager, and Company Manager on Broadway from 1961-2011.

Dress Circle Publishing has announced the release of THE UNTOLD STORIES OF BROADWAY, VOLUME 4, the latest in a series by historian and producer Jennifer Ashley Tepper. The book will be available on Tuesday, March 9 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the 2020-2021 Broadway shutdown.

The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) just presented the 11th annual Broadway Salutes ceremony at Sardi's Restaurant (234 West 44th St). 

Beginning this Monday, November 4th at The Landmark at 57th Street (657 W. 57th Street), Leonard Soloway's Broadway, (www.LeonardSolowaysBroadway.com) a new documentary produced and directed by Jeff Wolk (After Louie; Last Glimmer of Day) will premiere from November 4-7. It will then be distributed digitally by 1091 to digital platforms including iTunes, On Demand, and DVDs will be available on Amazon  beginning on November 12. The film will also screen at several film festivals around the country prior to its digital distribution. New York's leading LGBTQ film festival, NewFest, has announced the full lineup of their 31st annual celebration of the year's best LGBTQ films from around the world. As announced earlier this week, the festival will kick off the festival's 31st edition with the New York premiere of Mike Doyle's Manhattan-set ensemble rom-com SELL BY, featuring an eclectic cast including Scott Evans (Netflix's “Grace and Frankie”), Kate Walsh (ABC's “Grey's Anatomy”), Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award-winner Patricia Clarkson, Michelle Buteau (Netflix's “Tales of the City”) and Augustus Prew (HIGH-RISE), and will close the festival with the New York premiere of Rodrigo Bellott's award-winning film TU ME MANQUES, which was recently announced as Bolivia's submission for Best International Feature Film selection for the 2019 Academy Awards.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories for the 31st Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST. This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

The Next Big Thing is an intimate and incisive musical about one young actor's treacherous road to Hollywood stardom.

Winners of the 2014 Joey Awards were announced last weekend at a formal evening ceremony at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.
