The sexy men and women of Broadway Bares returned to Fire Island Pines, NY, on June 4, 2016, for two sold-out performances, raising $51,733 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. 1st Stage's production is - for me, at least - a very, very welcome addition to the 2015-2016 theatre season. While Guettel's intricate and original score is, quite simply, extraordinary - and reason enough to make the trek to the McLean/Tysons Corner area to hear it sung live - Director Nick Olcott and his talented and committed cast and design team offer other reasons to pay this little gem of a production a visit.

The show will be performed at 7 pm and 9 pm at Whyte Hall's Brandon Fradd Theater.

The modern day burlesque Broadway Bares heads back to the beach this May, kicking off the summer season with a sizzling edition of Broadway Bares Fire Island. Once again, the sexy men and women of Broadway Bares will return to Fire Island Pines, NY, for two performances, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

It was announced today by Australian theatre producer John Frost and Opera Australia Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini that Jason Scott Lee has had to withdraw from their production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic Broadway musical The King and I in Melbourne. Lee has torn a calf muscle which will preclude him from performing for the rest of the season.

Broadway Bares: Rock Hard!, a luscious, modern-day mix tape of sensual sights and sounds featuring 170 of New York's sexiest dancers, celebrated its move to a new home on Sunday, June 22 by raising $1,386,105 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Philadelphia Dance Projects closes a season full of regional and world premieres with the presentation of a moving new work by Choreographer Niki Cousineau and Designer Jorge Cousineau, together as Subcircle. The premiere piece, All this happened, more or less, will run April 3 - 5 at the Performance Garage.
