Following rave reviews earlier this week Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, announced that a further 250,000 tickets will be released for sale next week on Thursday 4 August 2016 at 11am BST, booking through to 10 December 2017. Tickets are priced from £15 per part and for every performance there will be 300 tickets at £20 or less per part.

The Jamie Lloyd Company presents Bertie Carvel, Jonathan Broadbent and Marc Wootton in a reading of Jean Genet's play Splendid's as well as a Genet and David Bowie-inspired evening of drag performances and music in the latest Traf Extras events designed to bring audiences closer to the onstage action. Each event will take place after that evening's performance of The Maids, currently playing at Trafalgar Studios.

It's the biggest night in London Theatre! The Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard - the most prestigious event in the UK's theatrical calendar - take place tonight at the Royal Opera House, hosted by Michael Ball. This year's list of Olivier Award nominees includes Gemma Arterton, Kenneth Branagh, Kenneth Cranham, Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, Mark Gatiss, Denise Gough, Preeya Kalidas, Nicole Kidman, Adrian Lester, Lara Pulver, Mark Rylance, Imelda Staunton, Tom Sturridge and David Suchet.

The Olivier Awards with MasterCard are delighted to announce that two world-wide musical stars will be joining the line-up for the 40th Anniversary Ceremony. Grammy and Tony Award-winning musician Cyndi Lauper is set to perform both on her own and in a unique collaboration following the seven nominations for Kinky Boots, which features music written by Cyndi. Michael Feinstein, master of The Great American Songbook, will also be performing on the night, joining a variety of past winners in a special 40th anniversary segment.

The Jamie Lloyd Company's first production of 2016 is the full-throttle UK premiere of a contemporary adaptation of Jean Genet's masterpiece, THE MAIDS - not seen in the West End for 20 years. Director Jamie Lloyd has assembled a powerhouse trio of actors, including double Emmy Award-winning Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black), Zawe Ashton (Fresh Meat) and Laura Carmichael (Downton Abbey), to tackle this explosive psycho-drama. Kit Harington will return to the London stage to play the title role in an anarchic production of Doctor Faustus at the Duke of York's Theatre, London, from 9th April 2016. Directed by Jamie Lloyd, Christopher Marlowe's masterwork, with two acts by Colin Teevan, will preview from Monday 9th April 2016, booking until Saturday 4th June.

Nuffield have announced a special evening with the stars of the internationally-acclaimed TV series Downton Abbey on Sunday 7 February at the Nuffield Theatre, in Southampton. Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith Crawley) and Samantha Bond (Lady Rosamund Painswick) will talk about their lives in TV, theatre and film at this special one-off event to raise funds for Nuffield's charitable activities.
