Cast of PIPPIN to Perform at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, 11/28

The Tony-Award winning Broadway cast of PIPPIN has joined the line-up of performances in the nation's most beloved spectacle, the Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which returns for the 87th year of magic on Thursday, November 28 (9 a.m. - noon EST; check local listings) throughout the country live on NBC. The cast will perform "Corner of the Sky" and "Magic to Do."

Judith Clurman conducts The Composer Speaks: Reason To Be Thankful at the DiMenns Space for Classical Music, 450. 37th St (between 9th and 10th Avenues), New York City, at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. This event is being performed under the auspices of The Composer Speaks series, which is sponsored by Clurman's Essential Voices USA. The Composer Speaks workshops involve a presentation of musical selections followed by a discussion between the composers, librettists, conductor Judith Clurman, and audience members about musical choices and compositional techniques.

The Vineyard Theatre world-premiere production of the musical THE LANDING - with book and lyrics by Greg Pierce, music by John Kander and directed by Walter Bobbie - will conclude its acclaimed run with a special VIP benefit reception for patrons following the final performance on Sunday, November 24 at 3 p.m. at The Vineyard. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins tonight, October 15 at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans and plays a limited two week engagement through Sunday, October 27. In New Orleans, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office before each performance, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 each, cash only.

Team StarKid veteran A.J. Homes is set to join the cast of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, when it hits Omaha's Orpheum Theatre tomorrow, October 12. Holmes' credits include Frederick in Young Frankenstein (National Tour), and Henry in Next To Normal (Arizona Theatre Co. & SJ Rep.). A.J. composes for the Chicago-based theatre group StarKid Productions (A Very Potter Musical, Me And My Dick, Twisted). He is a graduate of University of Michigan.

The Vineyard Theatre has announced its world-premiere production of the musical THE LANDING -- with book and lyrics by Greg Pierce, music by John Kander and directed by Walter Bobbie -- will extend its previously-announced engagement by two weeks, now scheduled to play through November 24 at The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St.). THE LANDING began preview performances October 3 with opening night set for October 23.
