Barefoot Theatre Company celebrated the 2015 Vassallo Awards with a Spring Gala at the American Ballroom Theater in Manhattan. The ceremony, hosted by VH1's Ellie Lee, honored artistic achievement as well as mentorship and educational outreach to the younger generation of artists in memory of Ed Vassallo. Vassallo's career spanned 20 years and included work producing for the LAByrinth Theatre Company and volunteering with the 52nd Street Project.

Currently performing as Jessica Drexel in Larry David's hit Broadway play Fish in the Dark, the multifaceted stage and screen actress will perform an array of songs and anecdotes while finding out the answers to some of life's toughest questions; With five Broadway shows under her belt, where does the teen go from here? How did it all happen? And how does she navigate the journey from 'child actress' to leading lady…all while getting her homework done, as a high school student striving towards getting into a good college?

Tony Award-winning actor Jason Alexander recently assumed the role of 'Norman Drexel' in Larry David's hit comedy Fish In the Dark, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). Alexander steps into the role created by David in the comedy about a death in the family. The limited engagement run of the production, originally scheduled through June 7, is extended for six weeks through Saturday, August 1 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48 Street).

Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Jam Theatricals just announced that Tony nominee JESSICA HECHT (A View From the Bridge, “Breaking Bad,” The Last Night of Ballyhoo) and ADAM KANTOR (The Last Five Years, Next to Normal, Rent) will join the cast of Fiddler on the Roof. Hecht will play the role of Golde and Kantor will play the role of Motel. Further casting will be announced soon.
