TDF Open Doors Holds Graduation Tomorrow 5/27, Rebeck, Bock, Stone To Attend

Over 300 current and past New York City high school students and the 22 mentors and 5 guest mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation ceremony tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27 at 6:00pm at Professional Performing Arts School (328 West 48 Street).

Mamet's RACE to Run at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, Previews Begin Nov. 17

RACE, the new play written and directed by David Mamet will make its world premiere at the ETHEL BARRYMORE THEATRE (located at 243 West 47th St.) beginning on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 with the official opening night on Thursday, December 6, 2009. Rehearsals are set to begin on Monday, October 19, 2009.
The Joffrey Ballet Comes To Civic Center 9/11 For One Night Only Benefit Show

The University of Iowa's Hancher Auditorium and the Civic Center are partnering to bring The Joffrey Ballet to the Civic Center on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009. The Joffrey Ballet, which has a longtime partnership with Hancher Auditorium, and the Civic Center reached out to Hancher after the devastating floods last summer offering their assistance. The result is a one-night-only benefit performance in support of Hancher Auditorium.

Leslie Jordan's 'My Trip Down the Pink Carpet' to Premiere April 15 at Westside Theatre

West 43rd Street will become a little pinker, as will the Easter Parade (and all of New York City in general) when the actor Leslie Jordan arrives to bring his acclaimed solo show, My Trip Down The Pink Carpet, to the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street) this Spring. Producer Bruce Robert Harris announced that performances will begin on Wednesday, April 15, with an official opening night set for Monday evening, April 20. David Galligan directs the 6-week limited engagement.
