Rehearsals begin today for The Life of the Party - A Celebration of the Songs of Andrew Lippa, a spectacular evening with one of Broadway's most exciting composers and lyricists with David Babani, Artistic Director of the Chocolate Factory, directing alongside an Olivier Award winning creative team. Lynne Page - Choreography, Gareth Owen - Sound Design, Tim Lutkin - Lighting Design and Morgan Large - Set and Costume Design.

Goodspeed Musicals is delighted to announce that Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winner Sheldon Harnick will be the latest recipient of The Goodspeed Award for Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre. Over the years Mr. Harnick's work has been represented on the Goodspeed stage with Fiorello! (1985), She Loves Me (1978), The Apple Tree (1999), and this summer's 50th Anniversary production of Fiddler on the Roof at the Goodspeed Opera House. The award will be presented by longtime friend and star of stage and screen, two time Tony Award-winner Tony Roberts (Broadway's Promises, Promises; They're Playing Our Song; Victor/Victoria; Cabaret).
Joshua Bell Joins Jacques Lacombe and the NJSO Tonight

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) and New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) present Bell & Lacombe, a one-performance-only program tonight, May 9, at 8 pm in NJPAC's Prudential Hall. The Grammy Award-winning violinist performs Sibelius' Violin Concerto and Ravel's Tzigane on a program that includes Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy-Overture and Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1. NJSO Music Director Jacques Lacombe conducts.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Channing Tatum is set to star in and produce an upcoming, untitled true crime thriller for Sony. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are on board to produce with Reid Carolin. Kristin Gore will pen the script.

Recently partnering with the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center Foundation, Broadway's Kristin Chenoweth recently focused her philanthropy efforts to support fine arts and community relations in Broken Arrow, establishing the Kristin Chenoweth Fund for Arts and Education. Her first venture for the program was to help raise money for Broken Arrow Public Schools students to receive the opportunity of a lifetime. More than 200 fine arts students just travelled to New York City to share their talents with the world at the legendary Carnegie Hall.
