Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, the second longest-running Broadway musical (only surpassed by Lloyd Webber's own 'The Phantom of the Opera'), and fourth longest-running West End musical, returns in high definition and digital sound to Great Performances where it had its 1998 world television premiere. The special encore presentation will air Friday, November 21 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings) as part of the PBS Arts Fall Festival.

The Fantasticks is an amazing show in all sorts of ways. It's the world's longest running musical, 42 years in its original incarnation (1960-2002), and eight years and counting in its off-Broadway revival. Among the actors who've taken roles since its opening in 1962 are Jerry Orbach (who originated the role of El Gallo), Liza Minnelli, Elliott Gould, Glenn Close and Kristin Chenoweth. It continues to enjoy over 250 productions annually around the world.

Love Letters began performances on Saturday, September 13, 2014 and officially opened Thursday, September 18, 2014 to critical acclaim, starring Brian Dennehy and Mia Farrow, and now stars Carol Burnett and Dennehy in a strictly limited engagement at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. To kick off the release of famed Sirius XM radio host Seth Rudetsky new book Seth's Broadway Diary, Dress Circle Publishing (Brisa Trinchero and Roberta Pereira, founders) will host a special book launch concert event on Wednesday, October 22 at 5:30pm at Don't Tell Mama (343 W 46th St).

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announced today that tickets are on sale for Broadway & Beyond at the Walt Disney Theater, a one-night-only variety show featuring luminaries from the Great White Way and beyond, including international music and dance performers. The event will feature Broadway's Norm Lewis and Sierra Boggess, in addition to many others.

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts held auditions on Thursday, October 9 for a Central Florida-based singer between the ages of 9-14 with the goal of finding one girl to perform in Broadway & Beyond at the Walt Disney Theater on November 15. Instead, four fortunate performers will make their debuts with an all-star, professional Broadway cast for the Grand Premiere of Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, presented by Dr. Phillips Charities and Balfour Beatty Construction.

Roundabout Theatre Company is thrilled to welcome back four-time Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory," Roundabout's Harvey) in a hilarious one-night-only reading of George S. Kaufman and Marc Connelly's Merton of the Movies. This rollicking evening will be helmed by Roundabout's Adams Associate Artistic Director, six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis (Roundabout's Harvey, The Mystery of Edwin Drood), currently represented on Broadway with You Can't Take It With You.

LANCE HORNE, the Emmy Award winning composer, musician, vocalist and producer, will return to Birdland Jazz Club with a special new show on Monday, October 20 at 7:00 PM as part of the 'Broadway at Birdland' series. 'Lance & the Ladies' is a musical party celebrating not only Lance's birthday but his friendships with women and his love of the female voice.

The Actors' Fund of Canada and members of the National Touring Companies of WICKED and THE BOOK OF MORMON will host DON'T STOP BELIEVIN', an evening of song and dance, at the Panasonic Theatre on Monday, October 27. The performance starts at 8:00 PM with the VIP Plus reception beginning at 6:30 PM. The Panasonic Theatre is located at 651 Yonge Street, Toronto. Net proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and the Actors' Fund of Canada.

Danforth) announced today they will honor the legendary Emmy®, Grammy®, Oscar® and Tony® Award (EGOT) winner James Earl Jones at the 31st Annual Musical Celebration of Broadway, to be held onMonday evening, February 2, 2015 at the famed Pierre Hotel (2 East 61st Street). The black-tie gala, which features dozens of stars from Hollywood and Broadway in a one-night-only musical tribute inspired by Mr. Jones' career in theater, film and television, supports The Drama League's educational initiatives for promising young artists.
