Queens-based Titan Theatre Company opened the final production of its 2017/18 season with its highly anticipated MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. The show will run through April 22nd at the Queens Theatre, the borough's premier performing arts venue, located in beautiful Flushing Meadows Park. Actor Rodney Hicks, who starred in the original company of Come From Away, has departed the show due to a recent diagnosis. The condition, Spasmodic Dysphonia, effects his voice, and Hicks opens up about his departure in the emotional Facebook post below:

Milwaukee Repertory Theaer imports Marco Ramiriez's The Royale to the Stiemke Studio in sophisticated style starring David St. Louis playing the African American boxing champion Jay 'the Sport' Jackson. Jay Jackson represents the actual heavyweight champion Jack Johnson who defeated the previous World Heavyweight champion, Jim Jeffries, a white man, on July 4, 2010 to win freedom for the black boxer. In the stunning Rep production, Ramirez's script loosely retells the story that changed the course of boxing history where Jackson became the first African American Heavyweight Champion in an era when the Klu Klux Klan lynched black men for merely the color of their skin.

?Running July 8th through July 23rd, Dorset Theatre Festival is proud to present the Regional Premiere of Sarah Ruhl's acclaimed play Dear Elizabeth. Dear Elizabeth chronicles the unconventional and remarkable thirty-year friendship between two of the most honored American poets of the 20th century: Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell.

A revue written by Kevin Ramsey and his niece Pearl Ramsey, the two collaborators weave world events through a century worth of popular music. Guest announcers included the ladies of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project: Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Tiffany Porter, and Megan Rose.

Artistic Director Kenny Leon and True Colors Theatre Company have announced the 2014-2015 season, opening in October with August Wilson's personal story How I Learned What I Learned co-conceived and directed by longtime Wilson collaborator Todd Kreidler. Following How I Learned What I Learned, True Colors will produce the 2014 Kennedy Award Winner for Drama, Dominique Morisseau's Detroit '67 directed by Hi-ARTS Artistic Director Kamilah Forbes, opening in February and running through March 2015. The season will close in July with Kevin Ramsey's Chasin' dem Blues a musical about the history of Paramount Records.
