Abingdon Theatre Company -- which has produced 83 new plays in its 21-year history -- launches its 2014-2015 Season with IT HAS TO BE YOU by Drama Desk nominee Catherine Butterfield (JOINED AT THE HEAD), set to begin previews tonight, October 3, at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Official press opening is set for Sunday, October 12, with performances through October 26. Drama Desk nominee Stuart Ross (ENTER LAUGHING, FOREVER PLAID) is set to direct.

Original cast member, Margaret Copeland, is returning to the long-running Off-Broadway comedy smash HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER this weekend only at Planet Hollywood Times Square. Margaret will be filling in for Olivia Petzy and she'll be performing opposite her co-writer and original cast member, Kevin James Doyle.

Guests can ring in the New Year with actor and comedian Joel McHale at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. McHale, best known for his long-running show “The Soup” on E! Entertainment and his starring role on the hit TV show “Community,” will makes his Aces of Comedy debut December 29 – 30 at 10 p.m. nightly in the Terry Fator Theatre.

The Kimmel Center kicks off its 2014-2015 season this week with more than 100 new shows on sale to the public for the first time, including multi-Grammy winner and Songwriters Hall of Famer Bob Dylan (Nov. 21-23), Broadway's Tony-Winning hit Newsies (Oct. 28-Nov. 2), award winning NPR radio host Ira Glass (Nov. 12), Puerto Rican super group, Calle 13 (Sept. 27), and Emmy winning astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson (Feb. 25).

The Mirage welcomes back comedians Ray Romano of “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “Hitch” star Kevin James November 14 – 15 when they perform together at the Terry Fator Theatre. Romano will charm the audience with his smooth comedic style while James will entertain audience members with his quick wit.

Get Involved Comedy and the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts are proud to present a night of comedy starring BOBBY COLLINS tonight, September 6 at 7:00 PM. Bobby Collins is always the funniest guy in the room. With more than 200 stand-up performances around the country each year, he is a show-business institution who has made millions laugh. Opening act will be JJ Boyd, and Patchogue's own Joe Mylonas will host the evening.

Peter Davenport, Adam Ferrara ('Nurse Jackie'), Jeffrey C. Hawkins, and Peggy J. Scott ('House of Cards') join Ms. Butterfield in the new play set to begin performances October 3 at Abingdon Theatre Company.
