Nickelodeon kicked off the summer with the hot TV event, 'iParty with Victorious' (Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 8 p.m. ET/PT), which drew 7.3 million total viewers. The 90-minute original, which unites the casts of Nick's mega-hit iCarly and ratings smash Victorious, has also taken the top spot, ranking as the number-one entertainment telecast of 2011 across all TV with kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14.

The premiere of the 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS on Wednesday, June 9 scored with 3.04 million total viewers, making it the most-watched awards premiere in channel history. According to Nielsen Media Research, the two-and-a-half hour show scored a 1.42 rating among P18-49, up 19 percent over last year with an average 1.5 million viewers in the key demo. The show's performance from 8-10:30 p.m. drove CMT to become the most-watched network in the time period across cable with P18-49 and W18-49 impressions. More than 10.8 million viewers cumulative* tuned in for all related CMT Music Awards programming, including the live Red Carpet show and encore.

New Performing Arts School Comedy Series 'Victorious' a Go

Nickelodeon has announced that they will partner with Columbia/Epic Label Group (a label group of Sony Music Entertainment) to co-produce Victorious, an original new live-action comedy series from prolific creator and executive producer Dan Schneider (iCarly, Zoey 101, Drake & Josh) and featuring teen star Victoria Justice (Zoey 101, Spectacular!). Twenty episodes have been ordered of the half-hour comedy series, which is set in a modern day Hollywood school for the performing arts and features an ensemble cast of teens who act, sing, dance and perform original music. The series, set to premiere in 2010, is currently being produced in Los Angeles, CA.
