This third and final installment of Mapping Subjectivity, organized around the theme 'Transgressions,' explores how filmmakers and artists from the Arab world have dealt with shifting attitudes towards sexuality and gender roles in the Middle East, and presents personal interpretations of the very real social transformations presently taking place throughout the region. Mapping Subjectivity looks into the region's largely unknown heritage of auteur, personal, and sometimes experimental film, highlighting kinships in sensibilities, approaches, and poetics across generations and countries.

The Rolling Stones, the rock 'n' roll icons who have defined creativity, daring and durability, are to be chronicled in a kaleidoscopic new film that will debut November 15 on HBO, it was announced today by MichaelLombardo, HBO's president of Programming.

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. has been invited to perform at all of this year's major American music festivals, from a prime slot at the eclectic Bonnaroo (where he also appeared during the day last year), to the alternative mainstays Coachella and Montreal's Osheaga Festival, to the indie rock-driven Sasquatch!, to the NOLA Jazz & Heritage Festival, plus many other top-line festivals whose line-ups will be announced in the coming weeks.

During her recent two-night run at the Metropolitan Room (July 11, 12), Los Angeles-based nightclub singer and actress Robyn Spangler gingerly walked the tribute show tightrope and made it to the other side intact. Her show 'Why I Love Linda Ronstadt' - which earned her a 2011 BroadwayWorld.com honor as L.A.'s 'Best Female Cabaret Artist - was an honest and heartfelt homage to her singing heroine. Her Ronstadt show hit almost all the right tribute notes, with solid arrangements from her Musical Director/Pianist Todd Schroeder (who also provided nifty backup vocals) that were reverential without being replications.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency will continue its Spring 2012 season with the return engagement of pop music legend Peter Asher and his multimedia show "A Musical Memoir of the 60s and Beyond" from tonight, June 19 through June 23. When the program made its New York debut at Feinstein's last year, it played to packed houses and critical acclaim. The two-time Grammy Award winner for "Producer of the Year" first rose to international acclaim through the global smash 'World Without Love' as one half of the British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon, Peter moved effortlessly to Music Executive with The Beatles' Apple Records, then famously to producer and manager, handling the careers of James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt and a host of others. Among his more recent projects is the upcoming Dreamworks movie Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. In addition to producing the soundtrack, he performs the film's only original song "Love Always Comes As A Surprise," co-written with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, which he will also perform at Feinstein's.

David Hyde Pierce, James Keach, Jane Seymour, Victor Garber, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jonathan Groff, Michael Tucker, Jill Eikenberry, John Glover, Zachary Quinto, and John Hickey were among the stars joining forces with members of New York City's philanthropic, business, health care and Alzheimer's communities at the annual "Forget-Me-Not" Gala, An Evening to End Alzheimer's hosted by the Alzheimer's Association, New York City Chapter at The Pierre.
